What have you done to your MS3 today?

Tried VTA today for S&G. Made the turboxs valve sound cool, but a bad tradeoff for how absolutely horrible the car drives. It bucks, kicks, doesn't respond well to throttle input, tries to stall itself, and threw a CEL. Never again.

yup same for hks i just did it for the winter before last. sweet sound wth my steelies on lol ran like poop. now resirc ftw

I am constantly amazed at how much stuff I can fit in the hatch of this car. A few weeks ago it was a mattress. This weekend it was a crap-load of horse stuff that the cashier was adamant about my car not being able to haul. Proved her wrong! Three bags of grain, two bags of shavings and two tubs of horse dewormer. Oh.. and four people in the car.

Don't want to know how your car smelled after that lol.

I had moved into my new house using my car and the CX7 until the UHaul came into picture for the larger things. But surprisingly, my car drove better with more weight. Suspension felt better, car didn't rocket into the air everytime it hit uneven pavement.

well done! that is impressive. You have a hard time with how low you were probably riding?

Actually it wasn't too bad. Luckily my rear fenders are rolled. I had some rubbing every time I hit a divot in the road.. but beyond that it was okay.

Crap! I guess that's one way to lower your car a little bit more.

LOL yeah.. lower the rear, but raise the front.

Surprisingly enough, it left no smell. :D The grain is pretty odorless and the shavings don't smell like anything.

Lara, can I ask you what your photography setup is for pictures like those of all that stuff in the back of your car? Even your quick pics turn out amazing. With most people and pictures, a car in front of an open garage door looks blah, but yours still looks amazing!

If you don't want to divulge your secrets, that's okay too! ;)

\threadjack--I drove to work and back in my MS3 today, stuck behind a slow driver on an unpassable road going both ways. Damn.

Oh.. it isn't a secret at all. This shot was with my Canon 5D Mark II and 70-200mm f/2.8L IS. No external lighting on this.. but sometimes I use a speedlite or two and umbrellas to bounce them off of.

taking good photographs is more about the photographer than the equipment anyway. getting a fancy camera isn't automatically going to generate amazing photos!

Exactly! A good eye and a decent camera will take one further than someone with a decent eye and a great camera.

Same thing happened to me the other week... I looked it up and the gas cap was like $30, i just couldn't tell if it included the strap.

Hey, there is nothing wrong with a 40D! I had an original Rebel and a Rebel XTi for about 6 years before I upgraded to the 5DII. The 2.8 actually wasn't too bad. New they are $1,899. I got it used for a great deal. :)

cleaned her up today and right after parking it in the garage, the clouds opened up. Talk about perfect timing. LOL. Then found out my CPE rmm is on back order for about another 3-4 weeks. Dammit!

gah! back ordered stuff drives me nuts. been waiting ages for a blox shifter knob and ichiba v2 spacers to arrive.

Finally got around to installing my Injen CAI and JBarone SSP last night. Everything went relatively smoothly (as smooth as any projects ever go when I'm involved). Removing those splash guards without removing the bumper is a serious PITA.

Everything seems to be working well so far. Shifts smoothly into all gears without doing any adjustments to the shifter. Throws are as short as advertised! Nice. Now I just need to get used to it and get my timing down.

We had yet another monsoon overnight so the puddles everywhere prevented me from getting on it much on the way into work today so I couldn't really feel a difference in power (not sure how noticeable ~15hp will be anyway) but I did notice the sucking sound when accelerating, and the sound of the BPV when shifting.

My first time ever modding a car. So far so good. I'm planning to stop here. We'll see how that goes.
