Sparatic hesitation issue

Yeah that is what I have been reading for the last hour now in a 11 page long thread.

Nice name BTW:)

here is a tip for the future for when you do eventually have to replace the WGA. Just save yourself some time and go buy a pack of assorted E-clips. You will 95% of time drop that stupid clip and they are fairly cheap as well.

Edit: Thanks on the screen name comment.

check all vacuum lines next. throwing any CELs?

I am actually in the process of trying to order all new silicone lines. Want to dress up the engine a little bit. Nope, no CEL's. Like I said, it only seems to be happening when I spray down the engine. So something must be getting wet and getting unhappy. Just don't know what that is yet.

Have you tried cleaning the MAF yet? Or perhaps a seafoam treatment? This is unrelated to your engine getting wet; which could be a simple coincidence.

No and no. What do you use to clean the MAF? Isn't it an enclosed box with electronics? Sorry I'm such a newb.

Its cool....you gotta learn somehow right? You can pick up MAF cleaner from just about any autoparts store. Sometimes the MAF sensor can get dirty and cause inaccurate readings and **** up your a/f mixture. I know you have hard pipes, but the pics should give you an idea of what it looks like.

Ok. I know what it looks like. Do I just unclip it and spray some contact cleaner in there? I got some electronics contact cleaner here. Thanks.

I have no idea to be honest. But because of what it does, personally I wouldn't take the chance. A can of actual MAF cleaner will only run you like $3 at autozone. But you don't just unclip the electronic connector. You have to take that whole thing off the pipe and spray the inside, where the sensor is.

Roger that.

mines doing the samething but i thing its just the ecu holding back power , becuase thats what it feels like , im trying to get a new ecu and getting it tuned right

Well the car sat for about 36 hrs in the garage after I cleaned it and noticed it hesitating again. I took it out this morning to go to work and it was fine. Both on the way there and the way home. I drive 40 miles each way. So whatever was wet, must have dried and now the car is happy and running fine. Now what the hell is getting wet? Damnit!

When you redo your vacuum lines, do yourself a favor and reroute them a bit and make yourself a vacuum manifold while you're at it.

If you make a manifold, only get the Aluminum Manifold with 3 ports (black) (part # 5469K113). I have extra of all the nipples you need, you can have them.

Not my image, but thanks to whomever I snagged it from! (I'd make a few changes, I can show you)
