Any photographers in here?

just a few from my trip to the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart, Germany

most of my shots where done between f4.0-5.6 due to low light, i plan to go back on a less busy day, and reshoot between f7.0 and 11 on a tripod in order to capture the whole car in better focus. lesson learned. all shots were done with Sigma EX glass, 10-20mm f4-5.6, and 30mm f1.4 on a Canon XSI

Here's a few photos from my trip to the Botanic Gardens yesterday. Due to the weather my trip got cut short however, I should be making another trip back soon. Hopefully the weather will hold out long enough this weekend for me to get some more photos. Enjoy!

I know this is the photography thread.. but I tried out my new 70-200 on my car this afternoon.. I loveeeee it! This might be my new favorite lens. xD

Just got back in from France. Filled 2 4GB cards while there, downloading them now. We'll see if renting the lenses was worth it!

Wrong!!! If you notice there is a guy in here posting with a D50!! Thats a five year old camera and he takes better pictures than 90% of the people in this forum.

One thing you have to learn is that in most cases its not the camera. Its the person holding the camera that makes all the difference. You can have the best camera in the world, but unless you have the eye and can envision the picture before you take it, you will never take good pictures.

On the flipside, you can have a older camera and take brilliant pictures, as long as you know what you are doing.

AMEN TO THAT MAN! Friends of mine sometimes can't believe that I took certain photos with my D50 lol. Sometimes I actually have to pull out the original photos directly off of my camera's memory card just to shut them up LOL.

Thanks and it's a great camera! I love it. There are obviously better DSLRs on the market now, but surely D50 gets the job done. Although I am planning on getting Nikon D300 next summer.

And yea that's a duck flying in the far right upper corner, lol.

Great to hear! I'm just wanting something simple to start out with a digital SLR because I have never owned one before, but a have a fair amount of knowledge of photography. Would this be a fairly good camera to start out with?

Or.. you can have a super cheap ass camera and do this with it

i shot these with a Kodak C913.. ill admit i edited the first one alittle.. but not alot by any means..

Absolutely man! You won't regret it! If you actually want, you can get D40 as a starter DSLR as well. It's actually a bit more compact in size versus D50. D40 replaced D50, when D50 manufacturing was stopped.
