DASHHAWK Setup

:
06 LS MS6
07 BM GT (shell has been struck from the roll)
So I want to know what 5 params I should datalog on the way to work tommorow

want to see if everything is on a nice baseline before I flash the hypertech tune onto the ECU

also, some things are under mazda specific, and there are three choices relating to boost

it looks liek the lfts are aroungd 9% runnin to publix, IAT's are about 115 ambient 76, with a CAI ...wtf? BAT came down to as low as 140 driving at 45 for a 1/2 mile saw bat as high as 160

afr mostly 14, down to 11 under full boost

Wish I could get XP to allow driver install, so far I have to read this manually off the DH

Absolute load and absolute throttle position are highly instructive as well. Put them on DL # 2 with RPM and boost pressure. These two tell you how hard the engine is working. If you're seeing high loads, near the cap and/or seeing TP in the 60%s, you'll really wake up with a tune, I think

I want a dashhawk but I have no clue what numbers are good and bad. Can someone post like the major things you should monitor, if what autoeuphoria said is fine then what numbers are good/normal to see.

I was hoping someone came up with a list here somewhere for us noobs. Tried searching it but had no luck...

I usually look at AFR, boost/vacuum, fuel pressure, and IAT day-to-day. For datalogging I usually just add RPM.

There are too many variables to write down a list of "normal conditions". In general, though, at WOT you should not be seeing KR above 1.0, you should be seeing fuel pressure above 1600psi, and it should not be getting lean anywhere in the RPM curve above 2500 RPM or so (there are varying opinions of what is "too lean", but I definitely wouldn't want to see anything above 12.0 at WOT). Boost is going to differ depending on your setup.

Actual AFR
Boost/Vac
Fuel Pressure
RPM

those four, definitely. I'd also probably look at knock retard.
very good,

I used rpm, boost, afr, KR, and added waste gate since, until I get this hooked to a PC I am not seeing fuel pressure.

I logged a good freeway pull to over 100 I think, a bit of steady state at 45, and a sloppy 1-2-3 launch (hey, its monday, and I was distracted)

now I need to get it uploaded somehow
I am assuming it needs a firmware flash to deal with DI pressure, or am I not doing something in setup ?

Probably. It's listed under fuel rail pressure high or something like that (been a long time since I changed any of the settings on my DH)

I believe it's fuel pressure DI (direct Injection)

I will look for that when I go out to move my car.
what was that warning thing on the splash screen? it counted down to from 5 to 0 I was worried I was gonna have to send it in, it was like a terms of use thing, "press enter" so I press enter, and the next start, same sreen, down to 4, then 3 ...

actually you are both right, you select fuel pressure hi, the it displays as
fuel DI

anyway, got it, and managed to get one little WOT area moving the car.

Looks like it runs between 1650 and 1710 above 2500 rpm

Do you guys also get a KR warning at partial to barely any throttle when on 6th around 65-80? Ill be letting off with barely any pressure on the gas pedal and it will give me a KR warning 4.0-6.0.

It's adjusting timing. it'll count down the knock to 0. Let it do it's thing.
