4th Annual LRP Mazda Corral

I think I'm one of the closest so I could get there right when the park opens on Friday, is that at 8? How would we go about staking out an area?

Camping opens up Thursday night at 6 PM. I could actually go after work and stake out an area but I wouldn't want to spend the night.... Any suggestions?

Bruce i will drop by the corral either sunday or monday for sure. I believe gates open around 7:00 am, i hope to be there around 8:00 to start to set up, I have to be at the tower by 9:30-9:45. I planned on setting up around the uphill, it has lots of good action plus there are trees for shade. Bruce i should be working either the station at the uphill or the station just after it(close to camp site for lunch)
Jenn, let me know what time you will be there and we can try to block off a spot. I'm bringing my pick up so I can take up a bit of space with that plus I have some banners from daytona that we could use to block off some space. Just could use an idea how many peeps will be camping so we could try to save enough space

I'm more than sure I'll be caravan-ing up with her so there will be plenty of vehicles to block off space with (evil)

So here is some news.. I got an email stating that the base Honor Guard will be doing the flag ceremony on Sat and Mon while the XO from my command will be the one to announce "Gentlemen, start your engines." on Saturday's race.

They are really trying to push pro-military for this and are asking for volunteers to grid the cars in uniform. Of course, I volunteered for all the days I could. No response yet, but I'm hoping.

I'll be coming up with 2 cars most likely at some point on Friday (I'm aiming for earlier rather than later, but with my friends, it's tough to judge), and I'll be there all weekend. I'll also most likely have 2 tents. Maybe we should start up a list of who's camping out for the weekend?

I will be cvoming up friday morning with kyle and we are camping out that night and poss sat.....so that's 1.

List of those camping out:

1) Mazpro502(Tony and Kyle)

Camping should go into the other thread Tony? Maybe update the first post a bit too? Hehe ;)

So....have we figured out the dog situation? Are we not allowed dogs even if they stay in the corral area?

did you see that "no dogs" e-mail? I think it will be an issue.

They had to implement this rule because last season there were 5 people bit. A couple owners can't control their dogs so everyone has to suffer...and the rule applies to the entire track, infield etc.

funny, was there today and saw at least 2 dogs

The rule applies to the big events (Trans AM, ALMS, Nascar and Vintage). Other events where clubs like PCA or SCCA rent out the track can make their own rules, most of them don't have a dog rule so thats why you saw dogs.
