Thanks Guys. It took a little longer than I expected, but I was working alone and it was definitely better than the laminate floating stuff.

Cool and thanks for looking guys. Mark do you still have my addy and next time up I'll throw you some $$$ for shipping.

Good to hear that arm is feeling better Bruce.

Well a couple things... Hanging out with a girl I met last week, and I've been talking to quite a bit, and also this...

hmmmmm....so does that mean you wear only HALF the costume? Have fun, take pics. ;)

*edit*just saw that entry is free with a full costume so no discount for wearing only 1/2?

I just looked at my records... that wrench has been there since Sept 2009... so I drove around all winter, through snow and snow banks, with that wrench there.

(wow) Oleg, that is rather funny.

Interesting morning to say the least...

So at about 4:30am this morning I left work, the Metro North Rail Station in Cos Cob, CT and was headed down the highway. Not even 5 minutes into my trip there's a car in front of me in the right lane and a semi in the center lane. All of a sudden the car puts it's left signal on and merges right into the semi...the semi won of course.

The semi pretty much "pit maneuvered" the car, it spun about 2-3 times before slamming into the center barrier. The truck drove off. I slam on my brakes and pull off into the breakdown lane...it was 4:30am, I was the only car in sight at the time. After calling 911 I hop out of my truck, throw on every piece of reflective gear I can find and start trying to alert any oncoming cars because the smashed up car is now sitting in the left lane of I-95...on a bend...with no streetlights. The driver was able to get out of his car, but he was noticeably hurt; limping and dazed...no way he was going to make it across the highway and no way I was going to get over there to help him back across.

About a minute later an SUV and truck appear from around the bend...the SUV's in the left lane alongside the truck (center lane). The SUV slams on it's brakes but had nowhere to go because of the truck. It hit the car and sent the driver (who at the time was resting up against his car) approximately 20 feet down the highway. I have no idea how but the driver, after about a minute of lying in the highway, somehow managed to not only live...but get back up and limp himself out of the left lane.

The drivers of the SUV and 2nd truck both pulled off and ran back to me..but we still couldn't get across the highway to help him with cars still flying around the dark bend. About another 3 minutes went by before the first state trooper showed up. He checked on the driver, then asked the 3 of us if we were all involved. The driver of the SUV told him they were and said I was the only witness.

The trooper looks at me and says, "You weren't involved?". I said, "No, but I'm the only one that saw what happened." The trooper then says (in an obviously pissed tone), "If you weren't involved then you need to just get out of here."

I said, "Gee...you're welcome sir. Next time maybe I'll just keep on driving and not call 911". I gave my information to the drivers of the SUV and 2nd truck (the only one's who cared what the hell had happened) and went on my way.

Awesome! It's about time.
Interesting morning to say the least...
Holy crap! +1 for not tailgating at the time. You never know what stupid s*** people might do in front of you. +2 for sticking around to make sure the guy was alright, even if the trooper told you to get lost. He probably just didn't want you to get hurt standing on the side of the road.

Not as exciting but today I saw a lady in a new beetle driving 60mph on 128 with a front-right flat tire. Not as interesting of a story, but i wonder what became of her. I passed her while in the left lane. I crossed two lanes of traffic and slowed down for my exit. Right as I was turning off I saw the flat tire as she passed me still in the middle lane. If it had been a left tire I would have noticed sooner and been able to alert her...but then again, someone oblivious to a shaking steering wheel that pulls hard to one side might not even notice someone honking and pointing at her tire. Oh well.

Totally understandable...but he was such a dick about it. Plus I was the only one wearing anything reflective...

Finally? Damn! Well...not sure if I'll be around here long enough for it to make a difference.
It's funny, I'm reading the comments to that story and people don't seem to understand that "offshore" means that the turbines are in the ocean, not that the project will be outsourced. Of course, realizing that would actually require thinking about the story.

Yeah, that is a totally dick thing to do. Aren't they supposed to be concerned about safety? What the **** now.

You can tell the original driver didn't have too many brain cells, because resting against his own car that's parked in the left lane is a dumb idea. Of course, I don't know how I'd feel after an accident like that, but you'd think you'd get the hell out of the traffic's way.

rofl...I read those comments too. I especially liked the one that talked about us going from a dependence on Saudi oil to one on German engineering.

This needs no explanation...
