What have you done to your MP3 today???

Just Installed AWR tranny mount. Shifts are like butter now... :)

AWR passenger mounts are on back order for a couple weeks, so that will be the last one to go in.

Going in this weekend, new VGA touchscreen to replace my 5-year old screen:

Anyone have Vent Visors/Wind Deflectors/Rain Guards on their windows? Looking to get some, but deciding which ones to get, and/or what's available. They will definitely have to be in-channel type.

WeatherTech's look nice, but I would rather not pay $100+ on them. AVS makes some, that seem good but I haven't heard of anyone using them. They appear to be in-channel, but they have several different styles, so I don't know if the ones for the Protege are for sure. Seems that most of the ebay ones are just stick on the door types. So they are a no-go.

that touch screen looks juicy. i hope u park in a garage or have a bomb alarm. i'd be scurd

Hey Linux how would I go about getting my studs out?

Vice Grips can work. Usually the best way is to use 2 nuts sandwiched together, tho. Does that make sense? Thread one nut onto the stud and then another. Tighten them so that you can get a socket onto them, and proceed to loosen the stud. There's probably other ways as well, but this method works quite well. Especially when the stud doesn't want to budge. And you don't mess up the threads on the stud this way either; in case you need to reuse it down the road...

what duro are ur mounts? and how do u like them

They are all 70 duro. I'll have the passenger one in a few weeks hopefully. AWR had them on backorder, so Sam is gonna get it to me when he can.

And I love em! Ya, you get vibes (Tho I think once I get the passenger mount in it will help tone them down bcuz my current pass. mount is 100% torn) but...

My shifting/tranny feels way more solid and smooth, shifts are effortless now.

Throttle response is way better. But, I installed a NSN thermal spacer on my I/M at the same time tho, so idk if that tightened my throttle cable at all. I don't think the spacer would affect my throttle at all tho. Spacer on TB would pull the cable more taught, but I don't think a spacer on the I/M would...

Car feels wayyy more solid in general. The motor doesn't bang over moderate bumps on the highway anymore.

Oddly enough, my front lip doesn't rub as much going into driveways, etc... I used to rub going into my parents driveway every-time, no matter what. Now I still scrape coming out of my parents driveway, but I can get in without scraping, lol. This one kinda confused me, But I guess it makes sense.

If you have any other ?s, let me know.

haha thanks. im still deciding if i should stick to the more comfy inserts or get some solid mounts. havent experienced any of them yet

Personally, I don't have the MP3 to be a comfy car, lol. I can't afford to have a 2nd project/fun car so I sorta meet in the middle with my DD. ;)
