What have you done to your P5 today?

^^ has the code cleared.... but ill give it a shot and go drive around for a bit and see where i get... maybe that is what it is.... and tomorrow im gonna take it to the dyno..
I just dont see shelling out 200-300 bucks, to maybe not get something in the neighboorhood of 25mpg or something... can a tune be THAT effective?

No, keep the fuel pump. The next thing you need to do is get a real fuel management system and get the car tuned, that will solve MOST of your problems.

remember this, anytime u change exhaust , IC , sizes and so on, it is no longer stock. The tune is for the factory setup . So MATT is correct , a tune will fix most of this. Sorry to say it is hella expensive but well worth it and will save ur engine. You should def. plug in the EGR and let us know.

There's also supposed to have a check valve near the throttle body. I don't have my egr plugged in and get no cel for it.

so... EGR is plugged in... gas milage improved... maybe 50 percent... went from 9.6 MPG to 23.5... take into fact that it is about 20 miles total driving... boost went up a little bit too... 5.6 - 6.0 instead of 4.1 -5.0 so it was in open loop....

as far as the tune goes... im gonna take it down tomorrow and see if i can get it tunes a little.. i dont want to run hardcore more boost.. maybe 7 psi or 8.. max... I want better fuel economy and some more power there... and no idle issue's ( come to a stop light and it tries to die.. ) i realize that the ecu is setup for a stock setup and more airflow is going to change thingsbut i didnt think that it would change things that dramatically..

question... why would my aftermarket water temp sensor say that the temp is between 180 as normal range... but heat up to 220 within five minutes... and all this time my stock temp gauge doesnt budge?

check valve... where? i dont think i have seen it.. is it vacum related?

speaking of all this... what manifold do you have and how are your vac lines ran? i need to redo my lines tomorrow... i dont like how they are and i want it cleaned up anyways..

Most aftermarket gauges respond to sensitivity much quicker than factory gauges. Some factory temp gauges don't even respond to the point of near boiling.

Sounds like you have a few issues though, get it tuned for real instead of "somewhat" tuned if you want this setup to last awhile. Do it once and be done with it.

Let me find the post. MSP come with it stock. But we be boosting p5's :)

*edit dang hard to find stuff. I'll keep looking unless someone else knows what I'm talking about and knows where the thread is. It was started by the user ???? Nvm I can't find it

*editx2
found it Although I doubt it's the cause of your problems. Doesn't hurt to have something that should be there :)

^^ SOB!!! i forgot about that damn thing... I will get one tomorrow.. maybe taht is what is causing all the issues with the fuel and what not?

and yes... GO p5T

i need to figure out a way to run my IC piping and have my bumper on too.... argh

Took off the rear sway bar to see if the end links where the problem. Yep they were totally shot.

Also tested out the capacity of my enclosure. It has 1 cubic foot of air space. Just what I was shooting for. =)

Also Thomas those wheels look good!

can some one do me a favor and look at their throttle body... there is a sensor on top.. ( i dont know the name or cant remember...) and tell me what WIRE color is on top...? need to rewire that plug because it was damaged and i dont know what is on top brown or white...

OH OH im going to the dyno tomorow..... im kinda worried... cause my car is well acting odd... it is idling low... WITH the egr plugged in and what not... eh.. it will work its way out tomorrow...

dont dyno your car just to dyno it. if you're spending money on a dyno, get it tuned for real!

Today the p5 got some tire adjustments. needs a timing belt, oil change, and fresh bearings all the way 'round. new motor mounts wouldnt hurt =]

for the most Part, I just drove my p5 today.
