^ Have you tried the pump 1&2 settings?

I replaced my bad Optima Red Top (I do not recommed this battery at all!) after only 2 yrs because it wasn't holding a charge properly. Ended up going with an Exide this time. My cold start issues are now solved.

No, haven't tried that. I'll look at it. Thanks.

Maybe have it come on with more voltage earlier?

pump 1 is your culprit.. i find its a bastard to tune.

leaning could mean that pump 1 isn't coming on soon enough, or its not coming on enough when it is, or a combination of the 2.

best to tune with wideband hooked up to the microtech, so you can graph pump activation against AFR.

I have an LT-8, I didn't think I could hook the wideband up. Is it the black and red wire? and will it work on mine?

you can hook a wideband up if its a +5v O2 sensor (will be written on the plastic bag that originally came with the computer, it'll say "Protege LT8S +5v" or simillar).

can't remember what wires they are off hand... i have the microtech wideband module so it clips into the loom...

Anyone know where i can get my car dyno tuned with the microtech lt10s? I asked a cople tuners in my area and they arent familiar with it! Im in central NJ

You probably won't find any "tuners" at a dyno that know Microtech. The best way to tune the car is to get a Wideband 02 sensor, hook it up and do the tuning yourself on the road. After you have the car running well and are familiar with the controls, take it to the dyno for the fine tuning and trying to improve the torque. Dyno time is expensive and should really only be used for getting that last bit of extra HP.

their is a place in Maryland that can tune. i can't think of the name. they do great work. my friend took his IS300 it only took about two hours. i spoke with the tuner guy awhile back. he said that he is very familiar with it.

I am just going to get into this. I bought the LT10S from neox... I plan on doing the install N/A as soon as the weather warms up here. I am running the MP3 ecu right now so I know I already have advanced timing for a smoother throttle curve. Is there a way to have the microtech log that info before I have it take over? Or do I just have to load up the N/A map and start from square one?

WHich bung does the wideband O2 mount on a NA OBX header ?

QUOTE=CrazyCaker;4983546]You don't need O2 sensors with any model. The tuning is done with a wideband, which is the only O2 sensor I use. I have no MAF, no O2 sensors (besides the wideband), and no egr either. Runs perfectly, and I've been at 14 psi on a T3/T4 MAM Thumper kit now for over a year without even the slightest issue, and on stock internals! A proper tune and keeping an eye on the oil are key.[/QUOTE]

Forgot to tell everyone, the tip in lean spot is gone. But now having issues with starting, cruising, and low throttle position situations. My tuner buddy has been busy with other projects so we haven't been able to tune on it much. Hopefully we'll get the J&S installed and tune out the bugs here soon.

Runs awesome under WOT though, lol. The car pulls harder now on 6.5 psi, than it did with either of the piggybacks at 9psi.

Microtech startup

My NA motor's almost together, I need to know if this thing will fire up with the base MAP after i install my Microtech correctly. Here's my mods; 10.4 JDM pistons, P&P head, gasket matched 626 intake,Integral stage 2 intake, stage 1 exhaust cams, OBX header, No cats, Magna flow exhaust, Unorthodox Crank pulley, SR camgears, other stuff. Any knowledgeable suggestions please.

it should fire on the base map but may need tweaking to get it to do so reliably..
base map is very rich, has very little timing, but it should fire up..

just stay off the gas pedal until its tuned properly.
