AP launch control?

just wondering what everyone with a AP is running for their launch control?
im running the stage 2 with the LC set at 4200. seems ok but kinda bogs down. mods are: CAI, TIP, 3" catless DP, Hybrid BOV.

Mine is at 3500. 4K should be plenty to avoid bogging. I have only launched it once though so im not certain if its better than manual launching or not.

Well, I run mine @:

LC Rev Limit= 4600
FFS Rev Limit= 6700
Norm Rev Limit= 7200

See mod list.
Now, if you employ these limits often, the car WILL break. HOWEVER, if you want to see the REALLY quick 0-60/drag et numbers, it is necessary...

LC: 4200
FFS: 5200
Rev Limit: 6500

I get no bogging. It sounds like you're letting out the clutch too quickly. I'm going on probably my 60th track launch in a couple of weeks on a stock rear differential mount. It's surprisingly still in one piece. With the new clutch/flywheel and no slipping we'll see if that luck continues (doubt it).

With LC at 4600 you get no bogg?

No bog! However if the tires are not hot and sticky you WILL get wheelspin...

I'll also refer to Blender's value of 4200 rpm. That is a very good launch rpm. Like I mentioned above, the harder you launch the car, the quicker the 0-60 and et, etc. The downside is the severe risk of breakage (on this or ANY car)

I tried it at 4300 and got bog, clutch dumping. Then tried the same RPM letting it out slowly. Big difference felt like a bat out of hell. I think I need to bring the speed down a bit. Don't remember of the top of my head the setting. What speed do you guys have?

3 mph.....

6mph here, just in case some sort of wheelspin it won't hit the FFS rev limiter, it'll stay down at the LC rev limiter.

I know for a fact that I don't have set that low. It's around 10-15 mph. I will bring it down. Thanks for the help guys.

Yeah, in a Speed6 all you want the launch control to do is hold the rpms at the set value while you're WOT. The instant you lift the clutch, you want the motor to have full WOT power to get the car moving....

Anyone had issues with the RPM they set as their LC limiter becoming their normal Rev limiter? I flashed the map onto my car and had 4000 as the Launch limiter with normal limiter at 6700. Yet every gear it changed the rev limiter to 4000.

Sounds like you made a mistake...?

You need to set your "Speed Limiter Hysteresis" lower (ideally between 3 and 10mph). The Speed Limiter Hysteresis is essentially one of two conditions the ECU looks at to engage either Launch Control or Flat-Foot Shifting. I would say that your setting is still set at over 200mph, meaning you will be in launch control conditions until you break 200mph.

The conditions work as follows:
1) You must be at wide-open throttle
2) If vehicle speed is above "Speed Limiter Hysteresis" setting, Flat-Foot Shift Rev Limiter will engage.
3) If vehicle speed is below "Speed Limiter Hysteresis" setting, Launch Control Rev Limiter will engage.

I have the LC Vehicle speed limiter set at 10 mph. When i read the COBB manual for tuning it said that the Speed Limiter Hysteresis was what mph the car would shut down til if you hit the governor. So i had it at like 146. Did i read that part wrong or maybe they had it mistyped? When i went to reflash the map it lost connection mid upload and messed my ECU up so i had to send it and the AP to Cobb to be uninstalled. I just got it back and was checking to see if anyone had came across the same issue. Guess i'll see if it happens again this weekend when i reinstall the AP.

What it said was that the hysteresis (allowed slopiness or looseness) is the amount of speed that must drop off, after you hit the set speed limit, before the throttle will pick it back up.

Example: Speed Limiter Hysteresis set to 10 and Speed Limit set to 50.

Car hits speed of 50 mph and throttle closes and remains closed until the speed drops to 40 mph.......
