What to use for a sub set up with stock H/U

So i have been looking for this for a while and i just cant find it

What do we need to use to be able to use the Stock H/U if we want to have a aftermarket sub and amp. I have always just used a aftermarket H/U but i dont want to have to do all that.

I hopefully gonna be looking at a few MS3 next week so im starting to plan out what i want to do to the car and when im gonna do it(funds depending)

You can just use a LOC (line out converter). PAC OEM1 is specific for our cars, I used it and it works fine.

I'm using the stock HU and purchased a JBL BP600.1 that has high-level inputs. This eliminated the need for an LOC. I'm noticing that most amps come with high-level inputs, though this is the first time I've used them for an install. I don't plan on replacing the factory headunit so this was my only option! I'm using a custom box that fits in the jack compartment with a 10" Alpine Type-S subwoofer. This setup adds great bass, but isn't going to break any windows, which is just what I wanted.

i have been debating what to do about the sub-par stereo in this car (plus that is usually something i switch out on all my rides) and this sounds like a pretty good setup... i don't want slamming bass, just enough to make it sound better...


have you changed out any of the factory speakers?

also. Im looking at theses LOc online and im seeing diffrent wattage output on the channles and im wondering, wat would be good for a mono sub amp?

Adding a sub to Bose?

Has anyone added an aftermarket sub with the Bose system? You would have to use the high level input for that as well, BUT I know that Bose systems are very tempermental when you start splicing into wires etc...

I have an aftermarket sub with the Bose headunit. And you do not want to use high level inputs if car is Bose equipped. High level inputs in amps convert high level signal to low level, and since Bose headunits output low level already, it will be low level + low level = garbage.

I cut off one end of RCA cable and connect the appropriate + - wires to the speaker outputs from the HU. The other end of RCA cable just connects directly to the amp.

I'm running the stock Bose headunit in my GT. I'm using a JL Audio CleanSweep and CL-RLC to add the sub/amp.

I replaced the door speakers with Infinity Kappa components in front and rear with a 12" JL Audio DVC sub. The system looks stock but will move a head of hair when turned up...plenty for me.

I ran the amp outputs and the speaker outputs from the harness under the driver's seat as to not cut any wires in the harnesses. Everything can be switched back to stock (with the exception of the rear seat tweeters).
