Is this the definition of "ill"

Its called personal preference, just like you chose to buy retrofitted headlights or like I chose to put a turbo in my car. Just cause you felt like spending your money on it cause you thought it was worth it.

Hellaflush - When a vehicle is fitted with wheels that push the envelope in regards to ride height, width, diameter, offset, tire stretch and camber. Also know as "Wrong Fitment" due to fitting a wider rim and a smaller tire than normal or "Right Fitment".

Just in case you didn't know the meaning ;)

i know its personal preference, and thanks for the understanding.

as for "push the envelope", i think this look rips it to shreds.

then dont do it

sumthaiguy, those rims are ****** DOPPEEEE
looks clean, the rear does need a bit more low but it looks sick as is

edit: and i think its ****** hilarious how people act like they have never seen a car with flush/poking wheels
keep doin your thing man

thanks man! yea the BC's are as low as they are going to go without permanent modifications. haha and yea people will say what theyll say but im just gonna keep on truckin.

your poor car. it'll never know what it did wrong to deserve such fitment, i mean... treatment.

don't they usually hang people from trees for doing stuff like this in texas?

whoa a little harsh? its just wheel fitment man. and we hang people like you for saying stuff like that.

I just don't get why you took a performance vehicle and effectively neutered it with wheels like that. You don't plan on turning hard, do you?

lol @ performance vehicle. its just a fat wagon with a turbo. it might be a sport compact or w/e mazda marketed it as but to me this car will never do what i want it to do. to slow for drag racing, too fat and wrong wheel drive to take corners. thats my opinion so i did the next thing. make it look good according to my preferences. i will be buying another car to have some fast fun in. this is just my daily.

idk about harsh...

and I think we figured out the problem. if you believe the car doesn't handle, then I understand why you bought wheels that guarantee it. this car will handle better than just about any RWD dollar for dollar.

you really need to go autocrossing. and if your doing coilovers, combined with sways, you wont realize its wrong wheel drive.....

i can snap oversteer this car whenever i please

i couldn't resist flaming. this is only pushing the boundaries of tastelessness. even tho i don't understand the desire for this bizarre 'hellaflush' stance phenomenon, i can dig going after something unique or radical and this did not accomplish that in a good way. this combination of rim style, extremely stretched tire, and 'tucking' (which seems like a contradiction in terms because how can you 'tuck' if the rims are protruding beyond the fender?!) just does not look good. it defies the proverb that 'the matters of taste are indisputable'.

haha thanks for explaining it to the ignorant.

yes you are getting old. and according to the definition that DJ DUB provided thats exactly what im doing. im pushing the envelope.

LOL and 08.5MS3 and tunersteve, my car is nothing like bosozoku-style cars.

haha and i didnt expect this much controversy over wheel fitment. its just personal preference on wheel fitment. im just going for that "hellaflush" look. everyone needs to calm down lol. im taking this car in a new direction that i havent seen on this platform because not many people have gone this route and id like to see this style on this platform.

slam.poke.stretch. FTW

I wouldn't say ignorant. Most of us are fully aware of the "hellaflush" fad. Most of us here just like driving our cars, so we think its dumb.

ZOOM ZOOM!

im pretty sure this car is able to well but i dont have that much interest in autocrossing. ive been autocrossing and it seems too small and controlled to me. i just need more excitement. driving in a big parking lot through a maze of cones trying to beat a clock doesnt do much for me. i like the excitement of mountain passes and drifting. much more adrenaline involved. so to me, its wrong wheel drive.

idk about harsh...

i think that talking about killing someone is a little much. especially when its something as little as wheel fitment. i dont know how you wisconsin people do it over there but saying that the majority would hang and kill someone for doing something different is a little harsh.

and this car wont handle anything in the motorsport that im going in to.

thats the thing, since you dont understand it, you automatically think negative about it. and the tire is tucking, not the wheel. the wheels poke. the tires arent. and it doesnt defy that. taste is subjective and just because you dont like something i cant say its wrong because its all personal preference. to each his own.
