Very good option, but it's not a real msp ECU, it's a reflashed regular protege ECU.

If you want a real one, I have one, and here is a forum spec pic:

pardon my being entirely clueless on the subject, but can someone please explain the function of an msp or a reflashed ecu, and how it would benefit my protege (assuming that it i could use it on my 00 1.8L ES, of course)?

The MP3 flash is only for manual 2.0L proteges, it won't work with the 1.8. And the MSP and MP3 ECUs are different, the MSP is only for turbo setups.
