What have you done to your P5 today?

^^^ YAY! Welcome to the family, man!

I had a busy weekend. Installed the JDP knock-off front lip, VTCS removal with a port and polish and painted black, eBay front plate holder, painted stock grille strip silver. I'm exhausted...

Kay, so what happened

All I needed to do was trim the middle section off that raises up into the MSP lip. A little tweaking here and and there and I think it actually looks pretty damn good. I'll go snag a pic, but it's raining so I was going to wait till it's nicer out for the real pics. And I'll write up the "How To" tomorrow after work.

how much did that cost you? i just bought a dg lip that is painted black (still waiting for it in the mail) and im thinking of getting it painted white. I just dunno how much it'll cost to get the old paint sanded off and get the new paint on
^^ top half white bottom half black... getting it professionally done :)

^^well i sanded mine prior... but apparently i didnt do that good of a job.... but im getting mine painted by a buddy who is helping me out alot! so i can be the judge of that... but i would say the average price should be around $100 to do everything

EDIT- JUST leave it black!!!... its like a beard for you car

Doesn't look bad. I have the same license plate relocator and it actually looks a lot better if you move the plate up so you are using the bottom holes to mount it. (2thumbs)

Edit:

I moved my motor and trans into the storage today and mounted the motor to the engine stand.

Be careful bondo is a terrible source for filling small holes. You should atleast spot weld them shot then bondo on top.

Thanks for the tip. Maybe I'll look into that. I figured I'd have to plug the holes somehow first anyways to be able to do anything, plus so the bondo didn't just get all over the inside of the hatch behind the plastic trim.

Some 1/4" rubber plugs should help and then paint them to match the color of the car I have to get some myself.

Wouldn't those leave a bump and it wouldn't look as clean and shaved? Which is the main idea of debadging it in the first place. Seems as if it'd just contradict the debadging and leave bumps there instead of being all smooth.

MSP Sub&amp installed ^^

Also, does anyone have any tips of how to keep the exhaust shiny? I buffed and polished it, it was shiny until it rained and right away it started to rust around the edges..

Well I for one would like to reverse some of the thing's I have done to the car if i were ever to sell it.So plugs would be nice and don't look all that bad. Also depend's on how far your willing to go into your wallet to get it done the right way weld them up,grind down, bodywork and then paint the whole hatch. This is ucmp3's car hope he doesn't mind.

Don't ever drive the car. That's really about the only way.
