What have you done to your Mazda6 today?

Airman (I assume still an Airman), you forgot your STS.

:D

STS? What's that. Lol, Sorry I've never head of it before. I see your location is Minot, how is that base btw?

And me and my buddy (djuosenteisn) attempted to install my downpipe today and was defeated by the top O2 sensor, We couldn't get it out even if our lives depended on it, even if we used a s*** ton of PB blaster. We were doing it at a shop on base and didn't have much time because it closed at 6 and by the time we got a lift, it was 10 minutes before 3, so we only had 3 hours to work with. I believe we would've gotten it done if we got the O2 sensor out and then the heat shields would've all come out and taken the exhaust mani out. Anyone with tips on getting a stupid O2 sensor out? The bolt is going to come pretty close to getting rounded. I'm going to try again next weekend.

haha zoomzoom. STS = so to speak. for use when a double entendre is uttered. i.e. "I was trying to shift my MS6 into reverse, but I just couldn't get it in, so to speak." Kinda like "thats what she said"

And Minot is currently an icy-cold hellhole. But the summers are nice. Many straightaways and windy roads for cruising.

that O2 sensor should not be that hard to get out at all.. assuming your using an O2 sensor socket with a 1/2 inch drive + Rachet and PB Blaster it shouldvbe come right out unless its frozen in there which then it may not come out, and u may need a new one.

Ahh I see. But yeah, heard it wasn't pleasant there.

Yes, 1/2 inch drive with one of those O2 sensor sockets and PB Blaster, what we did was spray then tighten then loosen and do that again but for this whole week until Saturday, I'm going to spray PB on it every morning before I head to work. And ****, I was told it's pretty expensive to get a new one. I don't have much money. Do you think it's because of the mileage on my car. I have 43k.

yeah the upper O2 sensor is quite expensive, i changed my downpipe out at 30k and didnt have an issue with removing the O2 sensors so it could be your mileage but im not 100% certain on that..

Found my boost leak. Since the speedie6 turbo inlet reuses the stock coupler. Seems like there is some blow by on this. It's not sealing up all the way even with the t-bolt clamp as tight as I could get it. The oil is coming from the tube connected to the intake. When I took it off oil was dripping from it. Is this normal? Anyways, I found a 2"x2.5" coupler after I put the car back together. Taking everything apart in the morning to put that on so there wont be any more leaks.

Me turbo. :) Even after 69k miles and 30k+ miles of 19psi the shaft play is still good.

yikes!!! thats alot of oil. you have a OCC correct?? it shouldnt be that bad even with a small boost leak, unless your OCC is full and needs to be drained out.

I drain the OCC every other weekend. It was empty last weekend. i wonder if the "smokey turbo fix" is causing more pressure making for the oil to be drawn in there.

Well I am bout to pull it off again and cut it down about 2". then add the 2-2.5" reducer. This should fix the leaking problem.

I should probably look at my Speedy6 TIP too, and see if I'm leaking or if anything is loose. I'll check it out the next time I'm under the hood.

I just took mine in for the 72,000km service and an oil change on Saturday. I asked about the loose seat TSB (even though mine didn't feel loose, I think it was making some noise) and they discovered 2 parts that were missing. They're ordered under warranty and will take a few weeks to get in. They couldn't diagnose my intermittent non-functioning door buttons, and want more time with it. Sigh. Gave it a nice wash yesterday to make myself feel better.

Oh, also I'll be ordering the TT rear diff mount this week in the 25% off group buy.

Front windshield, passenger side window were busted out of my car last night while at my girlfriends. Both font doors have damage as well. Thankfully someone saw them do it, and we got a positive ID on the person. No arrest was made as of last night. But I'm on my way to the courthouse to start the prosecution process. Car is dropped off at dealership getting an estimate.....Oh and it was her ex boyfriend that did it. Pictures soon to come...

your best bet may be to use a worm clamp then the t-bolt on that connection there. you'll be able to get it tighter. even for me t-bolts seem to loosen up over time.

Just rinsed it off on my lunch.Noticed my wheels have a nice discoloration on them from lack of cleaning.

Also, the clunk from my RSB seems to have disappeared after my winter tires were installed. I didn't think going from a 225/40 back to a 215/45 would do that, but it's quiet again.

IMHO it looks way better then my previous setup, ill be posting a huge update in my build thread and a how to on that ap number stuff soon..

^^ Holy s***! that's some serious window damage... what's the estimate to get everything fixed? How bad is the interior?

That sucks about your woman's ex. I hope you make him pay, monetarily and legally.
What is that sitting in your front seat? Looks like a pile of deuce. :(

Still waiting on the estimate right now. Interior needs to be cleaned from the mud and what not from the rock. Glass is everywhere, but other than that it's fine. Nothing was stolen. I wanted to take it to the Mazda dealership I go to (girlfriend works there) they were really going to hook me up. But the dealership it's at now already pulled the windshield completely out!! So now It would have to be towed.
