AFC-SplitSecond PSC1 Map Library

This is my winter map....you need to view this under "gauge pressure" and not "vacuum pressure" since I run the FTC version. If you wanna try it out...copy paste it or something.

My AFR's @8-9psi spiking 10psi never go past 12-12.2 and my wideband is pretty stable. This is pretty conservative and safe under 10psi. Pay attention to the linear pattern....very simple and it works. It's set up to be progressive to boost.

Trying to tune each cell individually is just ridiculous...especially since the jump in rpm's between cell's is by 500rpm. I used to kill myself data logging and go back to adjust etc etc. I had a code reader moment one afternoon....and I made this linear pattern fuel map for fun. I tried it and it was very smooth and consistent. I've had to play with a dozen times but when I change something, I change it all diagonally.

Anyway, maybe it's just me but it's work nice.

assuming you downloaded the map to your computer's hard drive, you load the map as a customer in the R4 software, go to fuel maps, and click the write data to ecu button.

So I got the auxilary wire hooked up today and I am totally confused as to what the settings on the R4 software need to be set to. It says something about coefficients and s*** and I suck at math lol. Can anybody help me out so I can start logging?

Which wideband? For AEM it's coefficents 10 and 2

I have the Prosport wideband. Does it change based on the type of gauge and your mods, climate, etc?

Did you try my map? It's a good base point.

I put it on my netbook that I've been using for my car, but haven't loaded it yet. Is it leaned out more than the superstockmap? Because right now I'm running pretty aggressive on that.

I was also just thinking, the only thing I've changed today besides the plugs is the length of time that the ECU was disconnected. Last time I had it disconnected was only for a few minutes, but today it was out for a good hour or 2. Maybe it needed that after I've screwed with it so much lately haha?

^^thats actually a good idea. Ill try resetting the ecu. See if that helps any. The way my car gets so rich seems like i got a leak or something. But im not sure. The boost pressure guage would identify a leak.

My vac readings are really wacked out. Sometimes my gauge reads -18, sometimes it's around -22. I thought it was just the gauge, but when I ran the real time function tonight my AFC was giving me the same readings, so I think I have a small leak.

I don't know if your gauge is like mine (Autometer Digital), but with mine you have to turn the key to on for a second, then turn it all the way to start. During that brief pause the gauge recalibrates itself. If I don't pause in the on position prior to starting, the gauges don't zero properly and the readings are therefore not accurate. You might try it with yours or check the documentation that came with the gauge.

I put the SSAFC on my car, runs like a champ. only time you'll have issues is if you had a problem prior to installing. make sure your plugs are fresh, no vac leaks, no CELs etc... and you'll be SO happy you're tuned.

superstock map is still the best for a mildly modded MSP. it is also still arguably the best map to start making your own tune from unless you go to 440's.

the person in question was also heavily modified and not running a wideband... but it was just the combination of all those mistakes that screwed him.
