Engine just dropped from my Mazdaspeed3 for the SECOND time!

To add to anything, Its a Mazdaspeed.... They have problems that cant be solved and always come back. Honestly the easiest way to fix it is to get poly motormounts, stock mounts sucks. Poly all the way.

I thought I had read somewhere that the mz3 and ms3 have the same exact mounts too? No bueno.

I too had refused to get a rear mount while I was under warranty. With the driver side mount being the one that has the bolts fall out and break, showing up to the dealership with a dropped engine and an aftermarket mount in the car would likely have the claim denied.
Now that im out of warranty I went with the CPE rear mount. 66k miles, racing every chance I get, no issues other than smoking turbo if I use 5w30 instead of 5w40

Lol, I just remember this video:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q5w-ygpCiJw&feature=related

Dropping the motor is a safety feature :D

Yea, if the bolt to the rear mount is loose, you can feel and hear it making noise. Point of failure on my car was the tranny mount started tearing and I caught it by chance while cleaning the engine bay. On inspection of the rear mount, it had torn as well, probably causing more stress on the tranny mount, thus causing it to begin to fail.

That's going from bad to worse...
when those after market mounts fail...you'll be out of a car. Permanently!
or change even one of your mounts...and if your motor drops, Mazda will void your warranty.

my 2 cents on this...
absolutely do not touch any stock mounts...let it be.
Ride the 6 year tranny warranty. and get Mazda to reset that 6 year period from your last motor drop date.

If I recall TRZ engine mounts have had no failures so far... has anyone heard of a TRZ mount failing?

I agree that they will probably still hose you on the warranty though.

My TRZ tranny and rear mounts never failed, however, the Medieval piece of crap I put in there first sure did.
