Why not try some private dealerships or even a Mazda dealership?
cause i've got 2 friends that have done the carmax route adn they offered the most without having to trade in for a car on the lot
Like Jeff's said in his post further up, private dealerships are selling em for 5-7 thousand, so i won't get but MAYBE 3K offer, that is if they even buy without taking something off their lot in exchange

Thanks for the offer on the Celica, but id prefer the orig amber markers 
hoping to get the whole p5 repainted this summer, and im gona try to get them to fill the bumper side marker holes to delete those bumper markers and just keep the fender signal markers

Other than teh rust bubble on the hood and a few minor door dings, a good detail and mine would be in tip top shape as well(loser)

Good luck with Carmax, I took my BMW to them once to see what they would offer and they were WAY low. I wasn't rude about it, neither were they, I thanked them for their time and left...
Thats been some time ago, I think I owed 16 on it then, they offered something like 12, lol. When I refinanced it last year the credit union said it was valued up to 18. They still asked me if I wanted GAP when I was only financing 10, haha, I said, well if you say its worth up to 18 and I'm only borrowing 10, there isn't a gap that needs to be covered...
Only 7700 to go!

Dave...my mismatched markers are the same...so it won't work...
Well, i owe just under $5k on the car and all i want is to get out from under it, so if they offer what i owe, i'm happy

I have seen some high prices for P5s on Carmax, I can't imagine getting anywhere near 10k for mine with 78k but Carmax thinks they can. And usually the price they set is close to the price they get, so some sucker out there is paying way too much for a P5.
