What have you done to your Mazda6 today?

coyfish, definitly stock or hardly any drop for you! If you got crazy rough roads, then dont bother.

I barely get by on RPM streets, almost TOO low. I scrapped at stock heighth as it was... now i have to 45 degree every curb, and totally avoid certain curbs i used to be able to take. haha! but i LOVE how it looks, rides, and handles, so it was worth the sacrifice for me. :D

i can scrape any car if i turn left into my driveway haha i'll still be dropping it in the spring on eibach's... thats all my supplier can get for me

as far as what i did to mine today... drove it around with the window down and roof open as i enjoyed above zero temps, and bought the most expensive wiper blades i could find.... but they do a fantastic job! (bosch evoloutions)

The famous "whoosh" intake has been FS in this thread for ages. Its a custom full 3 inch intake / inlet.

yeah thats just it.. been FS for 3 months.. hint hint.. mine will be better.. that thing looks like lincoln logs with welds every 4 inches..(lol2)(rlaugh)

Please do yourself a favor Dave and don't get the Eibachs. You'll thank me later.

oh? lotsa MS3/MZ3 guys get Eibachs, whats wrong with em?

Eibach sells the MS6 owners the same springs as the reg. 6, which limits the suspension travel and really isn't much stiffer than stock. As I've said before, do the research and get a set of springs designed for the MS6, since it is heavier than a reg. 6, and already comes with stiffer (and lower) springs than a reg. 6, you don't want to go backwards.

good to know, thanks!

I have the mazdaspeed springs, which I know are not on anyone's list, but have saved me headaches at the dealer, especially when the transfer case was replaced under warranty.

Had an alignment done yesterday, washed and detailed. This car is running so perfect right now, it's kind of freaking me out. (knocks on wood) 42,300 on the clock...

Was able to drive home from the dealership without my gas pedal sticking...OH whoops, my bad, that's Toyota's problem...

(I know that our Mazdas aren't immune to issues as well, but it's about time something happened to someone else)

Unfortunately if you read up on those, they're made for the v6 and not for the MS6, but Mazda sells them to us anyway. I believe they're just rebadged Eibachs.

Yes, they are. At some point I may switch to a different set, or even full coil-overs--which are my first choice, especially if I'm going to tear the car apart again anyway.

Unless, of course, the stang GT is all that they say it's going to be...may influence me a different direction entirely.

has anyone seen those "Mazdaspeed" branded calipers? and does anyone know if they're available for our cars.. they would make a nice addition.

They're stickers, and you can do it to any car. Pick up some G2 Caliper paint and paint your brakes, they'll look 100% better.

i dont have the tools to take my wheels off at home. i wouldnt be able to paint them with the wheels on would i?

^I've thought about that but our calipers don't look like the face is large enough to fit a "mazdaspeed" sticker, especially the back ones...

Other than a set of 4 jack stands you should have all the tools you need... A good set of 2 should only be like $20 from a auto parts store.....

aha! i see. Never even looked into them, i was originally debating betweem Megans, RPMs, Teins.
I just know 3 owners love em! I LOVE my RPMs, so much. <3

yay the MS springs are NOT designed for the MS6, and i hear the wagon springs (listed as recommended for the MS6) get some rear end sag on our cars.

Yep, and they reduce the available travel of the shocks to almost none. Not a good idea IMO.

Couldn't find the keys to my take-home car so I drove the MS6 into work. While en route I figured out that the rattle I was hearing at ~1800K rpm was actually my garage door opener on clipped to the visor. I would have sworn it was coming from the A-pillar/door panel junction, maybe from the speaker mounted there. My echo-location skills suck. If I was a bat, I would starve.
