I have a pair of these in my cube, except much larger. I wouldn't put em on my car for fear of the paint getting scratched.. anything that got in there would get rubbed around badly... seeing as the bumper's curve, and the magnets don't.

Couldn't you find a magnet that's strong enough to exert force on a piece of metal directly behind the bumper.

Or find a way to add a piece of metal to the back of the bumper where you need to put the plate.

I vastly prefer the pissed off look to happy on cars. That was kind of the point with the addition of the eyelids.
