Mitsubishi ASX SUV revealed

This is the Mitsubishi ASX compact crossover, a Nissan Qashqai and Hyundai iX35 rival which will be unveiled at the Geneva motor show in March.

The ASX is European-spec version of the all-new Japanese RVR. The five-seater is slated to go on sale in Japan from February 2010 and the UK this summer.

At 4300mm long its slightly shorter than a Qashqai or a Focus. Its based on the same platform as the Lancer, and should be available with four-wheel drive.

The best-selling engine is expected to be an all-new Euro 5-compliant 1.8-litre turbocharged direct-injection diesel with stop-start technology, which will be linked to a six-speed gearbox.

The ASX was originally show as the cX concept in 2008, but the production car is far more conventional than the show car. Nevertheless, it retains some of the concepts detailing, such as the sharp crease running from the front wings into the rear doors.

The ASX is part of the firms plan to move away from the image of a manufacturer of big SUVs as it repositions itself as a maker of smaller, more efficient cars.

yeah black out the grille surround...get a less feminine color than that seafoam green...and it's got a chance at being pretty attractive

i have yet to see an EVO X in the cincinnati area, but i see a handful of EVO 8 and 9

You need to drive into Mason sometimes, thats where I see all these cars that you don't see in the Nasty Nati area. And I'm just there a couple days to visit.

I live in sharonville and my brother lives in loveland...im all over northern cincy...don't just assume i only troll around downtown...

I also work in evendale... I see GTRs, XKRs, 750s, 350/370zs, a handful of bentleys and a TON of STis...not so much on the Evo Xs

I wasn't trying to be rude, I was simply stating the fact that I see a few of the cars that you have said you don't see on this and other threads. I wasn't trying to one up you, I guess all the rich kiddos that live in the Mason/Lebanon area get all the toys.

Eh, I just dont see the EVO Xs...theres several EVO 8s and 9s...

Hell ive seen more Taurus S-H-Os then i have Evo Xs
