this whole thread is absurd...
I am not picking at s*** at all. You asked for an opinion, I gave it to you. I think trying to turn a regular 3 into something that is "fast" with bolt-ons is a waste of money.
Gofast: where does a full bulid usually start? granted you might not share the same prospective, a gain of 20 to 30 hp is a gain of 20 to 30 hp. Respectable by any means. Now I havent really shared my full vision cause I didnt think it was all that necessary. I'm not sure where this will go. Maybe if I get my lil bulls*** ass 3 form 148hp up 178hp I'll be good. maybe I'll do a full NA build which is highly unlikely but still a possibility. I've seen cars on this sight that have won Mazda of the Month with the same kinda work that I'm talking about.
After reading y'all comments I wanna really know whats under your hoods! Do you all have the Alpha and Omega of Japanese Engineering under there that you would look down off your pedestal and say that what I wanna do for my car isnt good enough?

I am almost completely stock under the hood with the exception of my cai in the summer. I am not under some illusion that the MS3 is super car. I enjoy it for what it is and how it is.
A full build usually starts from the bottom up...not with bolt-ons.
As to other cars winning MotM is concerned, so what? That doesn't mean that I don't think it's a waste of time/money.

but u has turbo too....
depends what you mean by full build... normally you put in supporting mods before power adders..
did you say what I said in a different way?
But dude until you start writing the checks TD Bank Financial Advisers why the **** do you care what I waste my money on????? And even then why question it? My stand point is this, I wanna do the work on this for now assuming imma keep it NA. If I choose to boost in 2 years trust me I wont care about the measly 3000 bucks I spent on the engine work. I wont!!! I wanna know if any of you have heard the set up. I know what kinda power its gonna generate and yeah its pretty even across the board in regards to gains. My question was how does it sound. If an Engine is the Speaker, then your exhaust set up is the Amp. And despite what you really think, on a car that stock pulls 148 hp and sees gains of 30hp thats about an 18% gain, I'll take it for now. But like I said one exhaust will sound letter than the next.
