Wow.

How many miles were on that and how old is it??

i never really "raced" and abused the car. the only time i drive it hard is when i merge into highways or when i want to pass somebody. i don't do hard launches either.

it's on the car since april and has 10k miles on it.

Damn. I have that mount and regularly autox it. How did you find out it was broken? Did you notice something that made you want to check it?

i had an oil change today and saw it. scary stuff since it's probably broke for weeks now. on the road, i noticed i've not been shifting smoothly as of late. thought it was just my foot, but again when i put the stock rmm back on - wow what a difference!

i had another guy (who has a ms3 as well) drive the car while helping me with the standback not too long ago and he didn't really mentioned anything strange. it was hard to say if u have a bad rmm unless you physically check it.

Dude I gotta make sure you installed this the right way. What looks like you're using for washers are definitely not for that purpose. They're meant to cup and brace the top and bottom of the mount right on the bushing. Without that bracing I can definitely see why the mount would fail.

Oops. This doesn't sound good. Hope you get it straightened out.

Yup, it's all good now. The thermostat housing bolts to the block with three 8 mm screws that are in the most inconvenient place possible. During the process of the install, lost the only 8 mm socket I had on Turkey Day eve, so had to wait until this morning to make an early trip to Sears and finish the last 1% of the swap. (poke)

I always seem to have a "next time i'm at Sears, i really need "X, X, X, X... more X, and another X because i lost/broke it" ... list

:D

About to head outside to take a dremel to my fender lips to get rid of the slight rub left after rolling and adding 5mm spacers. Also just ordered a Corksport High Flow Cat Race-Pipe to bolt on my Turbo XS downpipe and racing beat catback. Re-tuning the AP after I get it installed. Yee-Haw!

Just slapped on the winter wheels.
Was gonna use these cool black lugnuts I ordered, but I'm a dumbass and got 12X1.25 which I think fits my Miata, but not the MS3.
Fail.

HAHAHAHA U make it seem like the cobra is a peice or something. Not worthy of being driven lol. I didnt do a damn thing to my car today except for drive it!!

Our Cobra is our family beater. It has seen so much track/auto cross/abuse time that we are waiting for the motor or anything else to let go. It does make a good noise with the exhaust it has on it though.

My car is at Mazda for the clicking noise some people have been complaining about. The guy thinks its the shim kit in the brakes so nothing major.
