I know there are like 100 threads already, but there is no good answers.

I have to say, i have been putting in 94o from Petro-Canada for a long time now. And with gas as it is, i dont know if i can afford to keep filling at 1.20+/L

So my main questions are:

1) In general for daily driving will the car suffer with 91o in it?
2) Considering winter is ahead, would it be more benificial to run 94o over 91o in colder temp?
3) Is it a bad idea to use the 94o when gas prices are lower and the 91 when gas is higher? or will swapping gas casue more negitive then positive?

I have used both 91 and 94 in the car with no noticeable difference in how the car drives or the mileage. I used to switch back and forth between the two different octanes depending on which gas station I was closer to and noticed no negative effects. However, ever since I have been tuned to use 94 only I have never gone lower than that.

Is the 94 from Petrol Canada the same as the 94 from Sunoco (ie. ethanol enhanced?)

Never professionally tuned, but i **** around with my AFC here and there to try and dial it in.

Yes i believe it is. I remember reading somewhere that the Petro-Canada 94o was not really 94o but some type of enhanced mixture. Didnt look into that in any great detail tho.

if u r not tuned for it, u wont get any advantage beside a cleaner combustion.

as long as the tune allows it, you can run 91 without issues

I think it would be okay for you to use 91 octane. Is there a significant difference between the prices for 94 and 91?? I have never really looked into that.
