2010 Mazda3 GT S
So i was looking in a 2010 mazda3 booklet (one you could pick up at the dealer) and it talks about an iPod Integration Module and it shows a picture that has like the song title album etc etc in the Multi information Display. Does anybody know about this?!

I have the Grand Touring S Model, so im assuming it would work on mine.

you have to buy it,and install it,it will work.I just plug mine in and put it on shuffle and
let it rip.I'm not paying the price for integration module

I'd like to know this as well.

As for the bluetooth, yes you can use A2DP stereo to play music from certain devices (my iPhone 3g works fine). But sound clarity isn't perfect via bluetooth and I can definitely hear the added compression even on the sub-par stock stereo (non-bose). Also, you cannot control the iPhone from the car (which is more apple's fault for not including AVRCP yet). And the song info does not show up on the info screen in bluetooth mode.

Plugging in via AUX sound much better than bluetooth. But it's not nearly as convenient as just walking into the car and having music start playing.

You should be able to at least skip to the next or previous track using the center knob. Not sure about fast-foward or rewind during a single track (or other functions), but I know when I tested the Bluetooth from my LG phone, I was able to change tracks with the radio controls.

you can't change tracks with headunit connected to the iPhone via BT because apple doesn't support AVRCP (yet).

Ahh, gotcha. Wonder why...Apple is usually at the forefront of technology. Is it a licensing thing?

Apple is NEVER at the forefront of technology. You are mistaken. They wait and wait and wait until their customers are about to kill someone before they implement certain technologies. They didn't even support stereo bluetooth (a2dp) until this June. My Motorola q9 had this feature 2 years ago.

That being said, I love my iPhone...good enough to keep despite the lame Apple decisions. If it wasn't for the ridiculously awesome App support, I'd ditch it in a heartbeat.
