Cobb AP Discussion Thread

Use atr to tune the fuel trims. There is a how to on it in the atr guide. Which requires a 30 secong datalog of different parameters.

OR. Try cleaning your maf sensor. This helped my out a bit when I have fuel trims out of wack.

bad news

I gave Cobb a call and the rep tried to help me out with AP manager program. Apparently, it did not work as planned so I have to send mine out via shipping. This really isn't my week, but thats besides the point. On the upside of this, I'm just glad that this didn't happen after I installed a map on my car because if something were to happen I wouldn't be able to set it back to stock since the AP is frozen. So now I have to send it back to Cobb so they can reflash my AP and have it up and running again.

One thing to keep in mind is make sure to call Cobb before updating your firmware so that they can tell you if the updater is safe to upload to your AP. As for me, I would have to wait another week or so to have it back in my hands.

Thanks for the advice, my MAF's hot wire looked like a a little piece of charcoal on the side the air comes in. I did the ATR guide MAF calibration, reflashed, and on the first drive my LTFT is already much better, worst was -5. I'm confused about one thing though after reading the ATR guide, it sounded like it was saying to calculate your fuel trim, you combine LTFT and STFT, so that's what I did when adjusting. Is that correct?

maf tables a and b are for when the A/C is on and not on. they should have the same values.

There are new updates out for AP updater, manager, and ATR. Also, should have 64-bit compatibility with the new versions.

yes they are out but beware some ppl like myself have had issues updating the AP with the 64bit updater. mine is frozen atm.

Hey so when I calibrated my MAF tables, I changed only the values that were under the MAF voltage present during idle. Prior to doing this, I had no knock during WOT whatsoever, but during idle my LTFT was -13. The calibration got my idle LTFT's down to about 0, but now in WOT I'm showing ~5.7 knock and intermittent fuel cut around 5800-6000 RPM's. Any thoughts? I wanna switch back to the original map, but don't wanna run -13 at idle.

So im purchasing the Cobb AP, my current mods are COBB SRI, TIP, Fuel Pump Internals, Downpipe, Denso ITV22s, rear engine mount and FMIC going on soon. what map should i be running on 93 octane?

I would probably go for a custom e-tune from Cobb with that.

I read that someguy did a 12.9 on stock turbo speed6 claiming fastest stock turbo speed6?

Any body with AP and ATP3071R?

Is any body with AP and ATP3071R?

Has anyone tried mzdspd.com's cobb maps? who builds their maps? are they quality maps or should I just stick with cobb's released maps?

Yes, those are beta maps from Cobb that bova is nice enough to host on that site. They are maps that Cobb has revised several times, but didn't feel necessary to post on their site. Many users on here run them without issues.

Wasn't me, but I do have 2 12.9x sec runs with my Speed6 on OEM turbo. The launch required to get those numbers is pretty rough on the car though, so those two consecutive runs are enough to satisfy the desire for my 4cyl, 3600lb Sports Sedan to run in the "12s".

I recently switched out my top mount for the ets 3.25, however Im not hitting my boost targets of 18, despite having each of the mods listed stage two + SFTI, i didnt have an issue before reaching 18.5 for the other map i was using. What could be the cause for this?

not i good sir! and there's not too many people running the gt30r on here, not that ive seen anyways.

Not yet installed. I have a 3071 kit and will EVENTUALLY install it using my AP for tuning, along with using a Perrin EBC Solenoid instead of the OEM unit.

I will like to know if I can just leave the Standback with no tune and install the AP and use the Standback to change boost settings only?
