Spec Clutch

So this weeked my clutch went out and this is my first clutch i have gone through. I was looking into Spec clutches. I dont have to much done to the MSP yet just CAI and chip. I plan on doing alot more to it so i was wondering Does it matter what stage of spec clutch i use or what is the difference between them? Also i plan on changeing the flywheel any suggestions on that?

How much HP are you aiming for? I would say get the Spec Stage 2+ for now (whenever buy buy a spec clutch make sure you get the "+" clutch)

And yes, get either the Spec or the Fidanza Flywheel, both are great.

I have a Spec Stage 2+ kit (SZ943H) that is brand new and still sealed, if you're by chance looking for one..

I'm using a exedy stage 1 and fidanza flywheel. I love the combo and it holds very well i'm around 240whp and 230lb ft of tq.

spec or exedy, you can't go wrong with either. i've used ACT too and those can take a beating.

and i'll add that you can just have your flywheel resurfaced unless its shot, which most likely it is not.

yes they are. It also makes it mindless to drive your car. you don't even need to hit the gas in first to get it rollin.

Exedy stage 1. I had a spec stage 3+.....wayyy overkill. If you're staying under like 275 chp, get the exedy stage 1. The drivability is great.

im runnin spec stage 3+ with a fidanza flywheel.... its great to a POINT. as honda Eat-R said... OVERKILL.... but.. it gets the job done.. you just spin your tires and bark them everywhere...

The stage 3+ is amazing for spirited driving, otherwise....it's bad. I'm 28 and have been driving standard since 16, and at least once a day I got horrible chatter that made me look like a total newb. NOT featherable....

RacerX : Wait 'till you see your flywheel when you change clutches, the friction surface on the 3+ is wayyyy to abrasive to the flywheel.
