Thanks, is there anything special I should know or is it pretty straight forward, dropping the pan and installing the new one?

well. clean it up really nice.. you'll see little grooves that you need to clean out. make sure before you re-rtv that it's dry, and clean. brake clean works wonders.get all the old gasket s*** off.

I was just thinking about that. lol.

Does the oil make a mess? Like is is constantly dripping from the windage tray?

probably a little bit at least... get the car good and hot, then get it up on stands and pull the plug, let it cool down that way.. then you'll have the least amount of dripping you can get... it will still drip though.

I wouldn't recommend brake clean as you're washing the oil off of parts you want lubricated on your next startup.

the pan you can clean with whatever you want... take it to bare metal if you like... I'm talkin about the other side, I would stay away from putting chemicals in the crankcase/rotating assembly.

yeah, applied for my promotion yesterday, and the person I'm replacing has today, tomorrow, and thursday left here... so.. yeah, life is chaos.

and after I sit down and do a bi-weekly budget, I may be going to get FD wheels! WOOT!

the set I've located, 250, 300 w/ set of tires. the owner used to own an MSP, and knows my local MSP buddy, so I think I'm getting a bit of a discount. Rogue is selling 2 sets on here, 1) 200+ shipping with no centercaps, and 2) 300+shipping powdercoated with centercaps.
