i wanna delete mine, idk where they r, do i get any benefits from doin this, or do i just get that agressive exhsaust sound?

You might want to try a search. All of this information is available. However, I wouldn't do it yourself. From what I've read, exhaust shops will do it for $30-$50.

you dont get any benefit except for sound.
however you dont really get a benefit from spending $300-$500 o a CBE anyway so this is a cheaper way to get that.
search will help though

But I'm on a Mac, all it does is bring up my dashboard :P.

I wouldn't be so quick to say absolutely no gains, because technically this will allow the air flowing through the exhaust to go straight as opposed to getting pushed into sound-deadening holes. But, I would say the gains are minimal and probably not too noticeable, if at all. More likely just the loud noise making your mind think you are going faster than before.

There can be no gain when the system flows more CFM than the exhaust side of the turbo puts out at maximum flow. That's why deleting the resos produces no gain. The stock CBE has a higher flow rate than the engine's exhaust until you get north of 300 whp.

It's like saying that you can blow harder by exhaling as hard as you can into an auditorium than doing the same thing into a barn. Both are too large to restrict the hardest discharge of air from your lungs. The CBE is that good until you mod the hell out of the engine by upping to a bigger turbo.

cool i asked 2 shops today n they said they'd do it for 40 a piece, they said they'd cut them off n just weld a piece of pipe to replace them tho....

No check engine lights. You shouldn't have anything to worry about. $40 is a reasonable price. The shop I went to wanted $60 a piece.

CEL? No way... doesn't even change anything really... just takes the sound baffling resonators out and replaces them with straight pipe. Sounds good IMO especially when a cat-back costs 500 bucks and won't yield great gains unless you're really pushing 300WHP.

40 per resonator is expensive. i got mine taken out for 20 per resonator

i got mine off for a case of beer and the price for the piping... did all 3 (2 resonators and 1 muffler). car sounds great. some think its too loud/drone-y but i dont mind it at all, and i drive 9 hours to and from school.
cant wait to hear what it sounds like when i have mt TI and intake!

Yeah my theory is that deleting the resos will give you the right tone and poppy-gurglyness that sounds good... removing the muffler will only make the car louder. Removing all 3 sounds great if that's the only exhaust mod you do. Adding a testpipe/downpipe can make things reaaaaaalllly loud and obnoxious. I still like that sound... but the local PD and old fart neighbors don't like it so much.

i dont ever plan on doing anything else to the exhaust. i would like to go catless, but CA is a b**** abut smog stuff and i never plan on upgrading the turbo or anything like that.
i am really happy the way the car sounds and it doesnt bother me at all. it only gets loud when i step on it which i rarely do.

Just keep the resonators and get a testpipe and the downpipe. You car will have much more sound with just those two parts and the resonators will help keep the raspy sound out.
