Clear side markers?

I was looking to get some clear side markers for my MS6 as the stock orange ones aren't very appealing to me. I've seen the smoked ones you can purchase, but I wasn't a fan of the orange output. I assume you could just replace the reflectors with white ones but the bulb will still be a yellowish or orange. I saw on the Mazda 6 Bulb Listing thread that the side markers were 194 bulb, but theres many different kinds.

Who has replaced them? I'd like to see pics info and links to prices if possible. My MS6 is black mica so if you had any suggestions let me know, thanks in advance.

I believe the RPM Store has smoked side markers with LED lights. I'm sure you could just ask for different color LED's underneath.

hey i got just clear markers recently off of ebay 40 bucks. look real good. Also did want any of that orange glow or yellow stock bulb so I got the wledx5 off of superbrightleds.com this way the led shot the light sideways and it filled up my clear sidemarkers better. Its 3 bucks a led and some shipping too i cant remember how much but prolly like 3 bucks. Can;t take pictures right now, but when I have time ill take some. I just searched ebay and now I think there fifty bucks so going with rpm ones is prolly better idea and then get the leds, but I don't know how it will look on those.

Ebay if you want the clear/chrome reflectors, or RPM for the LED ones.

I personally have the LED ones and I think they're the best bang for the buck. On your car, they'll look awesome.

Do you have any pictures of the RPM's on your car? We have the same color and I'd love to see what the difference is in appearance from stock....thanks!

the rpm ones look pretty good actually. I wonder how'd they look on a black MS6.

bova's got them on his. They are hard to see until they're lit.

I had clears but got rid of them because they are indeed "clear" see-thru,you can see the bulb. They don't have that sort of prism plastic look like your stockers, i ended up selling mine and going with the RPM leds because every time I looked at my car it looked like it was missing the lenses or they were broken or something. Just my 2 cents.

If you're going to get the clear corners, I'd recommend picking up a set of amber LEDs from one of the sites and replacing the bulbs. It'll clean up the look when they're not lit.

Those are the same as I have. Not a bad price either.

here how a black ms6 would look like with blacked out side markers

you can black them out for $13.. its easy

Personally. i would black ur side markers out like it is in the first picture...
It will only take you about $13 and if you dont like it then u can always replace them with clear ones...
try it out man

The second pic is the RPM LED ones without anything done to them. They're not 'clear' but smoked.

Wow a lot of options here. Now when I think about more I think blacking out my side markers would look decent. Did you guys just use the night shade and spray over the markers? How much light does it let through when it's lit up?

I hate using the night shade stuff.
I have also been looking into replacement side marker options.
I have a Black Cherry MS6, so idk if blacked out or clear would look best... or smoked.

the RPM ones are like $80... not sure i want to spend that much on making something less noticeable, know what i mean? Hmm, im still browsing options too.

it depends.. how many coats you do. I blacked mine out to the point that it matches my car(black). You can do light coats or heavy ones like i did. The light output is okay, its not as bright but that doesnt matter to me at all.

i personally think night shade is one of the best inventions for $13 next to the home depot lip. There's no point in getting ones from other sites when you can just do them urself for the same quality and pay like $50 less. It up to you thought.. i did mine the other day and i dont regret it one bit, i actually love it.

I think it would look really nice to black mine out completely because it would also match my car color (black). Seems like it would be very smooth and clean, which is kinda the look I'm going for. Only problem is that it would look nice during the day... At night time I wouldn't like the faded super dark orange light peering through my side markers lol.

ill take a day and night pic today to show u how it looks.

the night thing isnt even bad at all and if you dont like it then just change the bulb color
