Which mount? I ran 13.8 @ 103.5 with mods below. You have to be smooth launching or the engine will jump around under the hood.

I never just drop the clutch in first, I always give more gas and let off the clutch slower.

I think it was when I shifted into second, I got the worst wheel hop I have ever experienced. (worse than stock) and some how I was overboosting to 30psi, it was crazy. Ether way, I am no expert at launching or drag racing.

Plus it was 90 deg out...

The following run I went a little easer and rev matched my first three shifts, ran a 15.0 at 102!

Just got home from nationals tonight. What an event! 1200 people competing and some unbelievably fast cars and drivers. I ran in DSP and got my ass handed to me. I was running the skinniest tires by a wide margin. I was on 225's and the next skinniest tire was a 275 on an AWD Subaru. I drove the tires off the car to only finish 27th of 31! My car simply didn't have enough done to be competitive at all.

Alone I love the way the car handles now with coils and R-comps and it rotates so well around corners. I just throw it in and counter steer to catch the back end. Against the competition though I see that I am lacking grip and power with only an intake and AP.

I still loved every minute of being their and competing for damn near last. I'll have pics and videos up tomorrow some time.

Nothing today..cuz Fed-Ex blows. sucks having your package sit in a city 400miles away from you for 17 hours before departing

Oh, almost forgot. I got the set of cabin air filters in today. I'm not particularly looking forward to the install but it is due. I also ordered an air vent clip cell phone holder off e-bay for my AP

You've only been driving for a short time. How old were the drivers you competed against?

Most of them were older and more experienced but the margin was too great to be on driver skill alone. My last run I made today was the fastest I have ever driven and there was probably only another .5 seconds I could pick up if I tired another 100 times. I just haven't poured the money and time into my car like most of the other guys. Most had tires hanging way outside the fenders and little to no exhaust restriction. One BMW sounded like it was coming straight out of the motor with no pipes at all!

I'm facing the decision of pouring tons of more money into the car and hoping it is competitive or trading it in and getting a car that has been proved that it can be a winner in a specific class. I love the car without a doubt and it's great for track days and auto crossing but I would like to be in contention to trophy next year.
