Surfing the ebay website for who knows what, i came accross this extremely nice metal stickers with MAZDASPEED PERFORMANCE ACCESSORIES, i was like perfect. ill get them and rebadge all of my GTspec Bars, aluminum radiator, aluminum air diversion plate, my 505zoom black powder coated Intake manifold and all of my visual performance mods with these stickers so next time i take the car for inspection even tho i have everything legalize everything will look more legit as CAME WITH THE CAR FROM FACTORY as performance accessories in case one day i get a stupid ass inspector that wants to make my inspection a nightmare.. I love Intertet, ebay, paypal and usps.. lol lol lol

Well first of all, i apologize for giving you crap before... Im glad u are building this one yourself. Seems like ur headed in the direction of a record setting protege, props to you sir! keep up the good work

Miguel that's a nice Bosch sensor for the Knock light, but you really should get a J&S, because by the time you see the knock light and react to it, it will be allready too late, the motor will have destroyed itself. It happened to my buddy, within 3 seconds of knock, he had destroyed 2 rods...

I dnt know if your car has this, mine dosent, the little alarm light on the column. But if you do it would be cool if you could rewire the light to go the alarm light. It would be hella sleeper. and way cool. I know how you would do it i just cant explain it. Its pretty simple.

Exactly. And if they do occur (due to bad tank of gas, etc.) I'll have my light to warn me at a moment's notice to let off.

Do you know how a J&S works? It retards timing, then advances it back until it hears knock again then repeats the cycle all over. I'd rather only ping once, rather than repetively thanks.

Well I dont know why we all are exagerating in here, the world is not going to end if you dont have one of these, actually theres lots of Harcore racing cars out there without one J&S and they are still running hard and strong, What it matters is to have if possible the best engine parts, get it put together by a professional with experience and a good tune. Ive been running strong and hard 3 straight years making 478whp with no problems, This new build of mine was not due to engine failure, Im just upgrading and adding more mods to achieve higher numbers with less risk of engine damage. Im not running a J&S because i didnt know what exactly was at the beginning and because there is basically none in the actual market to purchase it. You dont necesary going to blow your engine if you dont run a Safeguard, its going to help you prevent it.. I highly appreciate all of you guys feedbacks and comments once i see one available and if i can afford it at the time pops up for sale ill get it no doubt.. I would love to have everything available in the market but thats ******* impossible theres so much to buy that it will never end, plus ill add that i aint RICHIE RICH as well, i have so much invested in this car is not even funny and i still have stuff to add, Big Brake Kit, Par Dog Box Tranny, Quaife LSD etc, thats another atleast 11-13k with shipping and labor. we all need to learn when and how to stop. !!!!! lol lol

I've been building my platform for 12 years now. We are probably closer in total investment then most. I appreciate, and applaud your dedication to your passion. It starts with a drivers dream. Then you realize very quickly that it's more the equipment then the driver. We slowly turn into amateur engineers, and our machines become our purpose. Build her until you feel you've reached the platforms design limits. Then prepare for the next monster, as it won't be more then a year away from starting. Some talk the talk, but you walk it.

you and cityracer look at the "platform design limits" totally differently than most of us. and while I do think you're nuts for taking it this far, I also think its absolutely awesome that its been done. Most ppl who know ANYTHING about the MSP told me not to bother getting one even before I bought it, citing "its really a weak platform and not worth the effort". To them I say... look at the builds that have been done. for being a FWD budget minded family sedan... there are proteges out there that are absolute MONSTERS, capable of taking on cars no one would expect... and then running literal circles around them.

Miguel, it's not exageration, from what I know, you are #2 after the 680HP FS in Puerto Rico. You are not a mild build, Your's is EXTREME ! So if you can protect it as best as you can, then why not !!
