WORD.

Well, I have made a decision.

I was thinking of taking advantage of the current car buying market for some time now. I was looking to pick up a brand new Pontiac G8 GT with 0% financing. Then, about a week ago, I took my MSP out for a nice drive at night.

All of a sudden, the stars aligned and everything fell into place. This weird boost hiccup (I think it seemed like a fuel issue) magically disappeared and has remained gone. The car is running like an absolute beast and I fell in love with her all over again.

Because I was thinking of buying a new car, I had stopped putting money into the MSP (it has 108,5XX miles). BUT NOW I have decided to invest more money into her and keep her for as long as humanly possible. I'm very excited about building her up.
It'll be a pretty mild build up at first. I have some things to work out before I address engine internals.

So far, I'm planning:
Repair main seal gasket
Replace PCV with MilleniaS PCV
New SLS J+Midpipe
Coilovers & new struts
Tint windows

Then:
Turbo upgrade + EMS
Upgrade fuel system (if necessary)
Dyno tune
New rims

Eventually:
Forged internals
Upgraded LSD
Increased boost

This is pretty exciting for me, I'll keep y'all posted on progress.

What turbo you going to upgarde to? You cant really go that much bigger on stock block, you need to go forged. IMHO go forged and get a EMS then bigger turbo.

Does MSPNick still do that GT28 compressor in a milled-out GT25 compressor housing mod that he was popular for?

If not, I'll probably go with a GT28R or something similarly sized. I'll have to read up and consult with folks more familiar with proper turbo sizing than I am.

mmmmm G8 GT

those would be so much more attractive if you didnt have to get a slushbox

Definitely! That was one factor that made me decide to stick with the MSP. Another reason was that I don't feel like dealing with car payments again. My plans are staged and can be tentative depending on how things go.

the average upgrade is the GT28R, But you still cant boost that much, its MUCH MUCH better to go forged first.

All right, change of plans. I'm changing the order in swhich I'm doing things. As I mentioned before, it'll be a pretty mild build up at first. I have some things to work out before I address engine internals.

Ideas & input are always appreciated!

Matrix - I would put that upgraded LSD before the new rims. If u got new rims on ur car and broken lsd. Your not going anywhere. Good choice on the internals.

well i was going to get my steedspeed installed early (as in tonight) but my friend got caught up installing an exhaust on another kids POS auto civic...he told me that he bought it off of ebay LOL...and the muffler/tip was curving to the side towards the middle of the car, i told him it was the JDM style. haha. so i did nothing to my msp today.

^^Post pics while install, if possible.

Picked up a few things today. Got the claybar kit and some things for cleaning up the car. Gotta get the tires put on tomorrow and lower the rear a bit. I was staring at my engine bay for 25-30 min today and the mod bug is bitting again. That stock coolant resv tank is a hard to look at. Its so damn ugly. Im also thinking about coloring the heat shield.

Edit: Also ordered the remaining parts for installing the oil pressure guage.
