Engine blown due to oversight at NTB

ok so i never wrote anything on the ms6 section but i did in the nepoc about this. I went to Ntb (national tire and battery) july 10th for an oil change. it was a busy weekend i wasnt going to have time to do it myself so i brought it there while i was at work. i went to ntb after work everything seemed fine, im driving down the highway and all of a sudden i hear like a cling cling dragging type of sound and im like wtf. so i pull over on 95south very busy hw around 6 at night on a friday lol. i thought i ran something over so im looking around see nothing, so then i pop the hood just to see if anything looked funny. popd the hood POOF smoke. so im like s*** i look under the car oil allllll over the ground. get towed back to the place they gave me another oil change plus lik 3 other ones w/e i was pissed but everything seemed ok with the car. acouple days go by and then i here this weird sound like metal in a tin can, so im like hmmm maybe its somthing wrong with my a/c because i had it on. the next day im just driving in first give it alittle gas to go and heard it again so im like ok its not my a/c lol. i brought it home and im thinking its either a rod knock or my piston slappin lol. i took it to the mazda dealership and they call back telling me that my engine is junk i have a rod knock/bent rod. so after fighting with ntb for the past 2 weeks (since they thought i never got a oil change for like a 9 months period because i didnt have a record at mazda for oil changes)i gave them my last 3 oil changes and they now have to pay $7101.95 lol so hopfully this is over soon because i miss my zoom zoom and they gave me a kia spectra for a rental...and let me tell you i was laughed at by like a group of 15 yearolds because of it

Damn dude that sucks but thankfully your getting ti repaired at thier cost. I have had my fair share of my car in the shop this month and last month.

While your at it see if Mazda can fix the enter/return key on your keyboard.....My head hurts from trying to read your post.

sucks that it blew, but good that theyre covering it.

and i also found it difficult to get thru. but thats cause i have a 15' monitor on my laptop.

Get that done at your own shop and just have them pay you, then go for a motor with beefed internals and go crazy.

lol im not that worried. i mean i figured i would tell you guys my story and not get bitched at because my paragraph is too long i only said it for some people so to make people happy i said sorry

Sorry bout your luck man, NTB needs to foot that bill for sure!

Yeah, it got a bit wordy...

i didnt have a problem reading it...cant wait to see ur new motor later this month..did they clean ur engine bay while it was out..if so its gotta be super clean..might be cleaner then mine, i doubt it though (lol2)

Wait, so if I read that block of text right, NTB is replacing your engine for a known MZR 2.3 DISI turbo issue because they didn't put your oil cap back on?

Sorry to hear about the engine....I bet your going to like the new one.

And about the post. I thought it was fine (upbum)

Punctuation is what we need.

Whatever, you were just skimming for the good stuff anyway.

took it to place for oil change...words....words.....pulled over...words...oil everywhere....words.....took it to dealer.....words....getting new engine.

Admit it.(lick)

At least you are able to get it fixed.

After reviewing this again, you know the title makes it sound like your motor just blew up. Like you were going on about your business driving your whip and all of a sudden your motor blows. That's how rumors start. Guy browses the forum and sees "yep, blew my motor" and doesn't bother to read the thread just thinks we blow motors all the time.

Maybe the title should read, "Service shop screws up, blew my motor." You get the idea.

that's my nitpick (thumb)
