i have stock springs and front struts, but, stupid me sold the rear struts and sway bar and endlinks

aww that stinks. Luckily you can find some endlinks that are exactly like OEM on ebay for dirt cheap...

it's not a dealership warranty, i can take it to my mechanic that helped me before when i had the headgasket go and then again when the front main on my motor just broke and shattered



He did all he could to push for a new motor last time, but, warranty company made him "band-aid" it

But, with knocking, we got a problem

Oh, and it's still leaking oil and coolant (Coolant bottle was brown fluid and empty) after a fresh coolant flush less than 3000 miles ago

Oh well then it shouldn't be a problem. Just go get that fixed man. While you're at it, see if there's any way that you could get a forged motor out of it. With the price they charge for parts, I'm sure you could buy forged goodies and have them do it for you... Just a thought especially if you plan on boosting it.

I'll see about forged, but, i'll be happy with just a new motor at this point

Not sure forged is needed, i'd be keeping boost stock, just upgraded to FMIC and SS AFC with vtcs removed intake manifold

Forged > Stock even if you're only doing stock boost. Only if it would be the same price and you'd be able to do it. Otherwise, it's not necessary.

i saw a youtube video of this once. i think it took the guys over 20mins of just holding the gas down in neutral before the engine died
