i don't understand what people see in the s2k. they drive like s*** and really aren't all that fast. IMO the new SI is much better. just needs a little more ponies under the hood. maybe they stopped making the s2k for a reason?
You must be new... S2Ks are AMAZING track warriors and drive amazing with the proper driver behind the wheel. No they aren't fast in a straight line because that's NOT what it was made for. The S2K platform is nearly as efficient as the the equivalent of a Ferrari engine in terms of power per liter.

Blame for what though? LOL I NEVER paid the extra cost for tuning the car after the engine was built. The car boosts the basic 9 PSI since the day the engine was rebuilt. It will run great once I shell out the costs for it but all this rant has been me not taking the plunge and shelling out the money. I've gotten into Photography lately and lenses hold value more than car parts and honestly its been more fun to me too.
 
Dont give up. Keep at it. What was ur final numbers on the built motor? You havent updated the first post. Im just curious.

The video is on the Stock block which made 253. Still no numbers on the built motor. I was shooting for 300WHP when I was REALLY into the car and I think that's about all ill get out of this setup with the Disco and no timing control.
 
So why u giving up? 300 is pretty good.

Not giving up...just have other priorities. I can spend $500 on other stuff that will bring me greater satisfaction. If I get some spare money ill do it, ideally I would like to sell my Haltech E8 to do it but right now that seems like it wont happen since no one is buying.
 
Nothing new with the car other than noticing issues with the A/C when I really beat on the car. I think I need a recharge... Thoughts?

That might be a good reason. Are they expensive? The car is pretty old too and Florida weather isn't too nice. Also is there any way to up the AMOUNT of air that shoots out. I put it on 4 and my sisters Corrolla laughs at my AC on while on 2.
 
Doesnt the ac compressor dissengage under wot or may just need to top it off. If the pressure is barely off it wont cool.

And our ac sucks in these cars! :(

I don't know if you know that when the temperature raises a little of bit automatically the Compressor shuts down and starts blowing HOT air all of the sudden, when that happens you automatically know car is overheating or temperature is raised....

might be your car overheating when going hard on it, well overheating when you beat it and the temps once again raises and your AC won't blow any cold air anymore.. i had same issues with my car and was my thermostat going bad.

I run a CS radiator and a less than year old thermostat so I doubt its that that's going bad. I did hear from Manuel about the WOT that it turns the compressor off but I was in SuperProtege the other day and he was punching it left and right and the AC was kicking strong without an issue. I think I want to lean more in the Compressor is going bad direction not sure. I notice once I get on the highway or start moving that the AC comes back to fanning out cool air. Miguel you have the same radiator do you run a fan on the condenser or just two behind the radiator?

NO Alfredo what i added was 2 13" Slim Line Fans to the inside of the Rad in front of the turbo.. They Push and pull a massive amount of air to the radiator, it keeps it very cool. you could also be experiencing the AC speed switch problems, when i turn mine between 2-3 AC light its on but s*** is not blowing any cold air, i have to go back and forward a couple of time to make that s*** to work and blow cold air..

I see I run one Spal fan and a cheapo one I will prolly throw onto the condenser better. thanks for the quick reply.

not a problem. always willing to help just like others have done it to me... i bought my fans from JDM-SAM you can perfectly fit 2 13" fans in there with no problems and great cooling.

So having an issue with some LED License plate lights I installed a little while back. They come in and out and one is always of? Thoughts? Wiring looks good, I moved them around and doesn't seem to be consistent when I jingle the wires to see if that's the issue.
 
So I was able to sell the F10X and now am running the E8. Im glad I went ahead and got this system in because the car off the line pulls SO hard with the timing retarded and also the advanced timing with the Methanol Installed is great up top. Went to the Dyno and made little more than my target goal of 300 wheel, ended the day with a tune for 12PSI at around 260ish and 17PSI at 307WHP and 300WTQ. The tune still needs to be worked on though imo but im very happy with the results. I want to go back and get my Wideband installed to the E8 and also setup the launch control possibly and definitely want to take advantage of the anti-lag feature. Here are some pics, want to hit up the track soon to record some videos.

Glad you decided to listen to me, and keep the E8. Those are some pretty good numbers for the boost you are running. The Anti-Lag, I wouldn't use. It is hard on the manifold, and the valves.
