need some help guys!!

i have a 1991 miata w/244k miles. been good lil car, but now has a bit of a throttle lag when i hit the peddle. the car idles fine just when i hit the peddle does it want to cut out for a second! thanks guys!!

already done that to no avail! now i'm looking at changing the injectors...i don't know where to turn. thought about sooon as summer is over tearing down the motor and rebuilding it, or trying to fit a 1.8l in the car. just don't know how rough of a job it would be?

you try changing the coil pack and CAS? There's a few things to try before you go about rebuilding the engine 0.o. Also, when's the last time the timing belt was changed? And the tensioner? I ask because when I bought mine it had a hesitation, turned out to be a tooth off on the timing belt.

i've thought about that...not really sure. i've had it going on 3 years now, and i've never changed it. going to do the time and prob new injectors...will see how it turns out after that. hell while i'm at it go ahead and put a new fuel filter.

Have you run some Techron injector cleaner thru there? Bad gas can cause all kinds of issues. Have you adjusted the throttle cable tension? Is the car a DD or a w/e distraction?

244k it should have had 4 tb's & 2wp's over the years.
