A good header and air intake for MP5

well guys since I'm having to replace my engine (blown) I might as well get some gain while I can. So i was planning on getting a polished Header and an air intake system.... possibly a new exhaust. So coming to the pro's on MP5's, what do you guys think the best bang for the buck mods will be best for hp gain and a deeper sound?

$$$ is a slight problem... thinkin max $400-500.... plus its not a speed engine making it hardly worth while due to boost limit

If you have the engine out you are better off going forged and boosting. The FS engine does not take NA mods that well. For an I/H/E you are looking at 1k easy (buying new) for minimal gains 15hp or so.

the problem there is I already purchased an engine, in freight now. Living in mountains I need some high-end power gains to overcome gravity, that of course is relatively cheap (^:

OBX header and VTCS removal for power, anything else is more for sound.

OBX is around 200, VTCS removal is the cost of a intake gasket set....

What makes the difference betweeen headers? found some for $80, and found some for $240.... sure there is a difference but how do you check and know?

you could go with those headers, but the fact that they are "GENERIC" means you have no customer support once you get the product. You will most likely be S.O.L if something goes wrong with it. A lot of people (and myself) have used the ebay Short Ram Intake with the K&N air filter. Its nice quality for the price
