I love proteges, of all kinds, but the motor is just weak is s***. They should of put a KL-ZE stock. That would of been the s***!

well, I don't think its any secret these aren't a drag car...

A 71.4 slalom and skidpad of .88 aren't exactly something to laugh at in a sedan.

and I should be able to nuke those numbers soon.... *crosses fingers*

Handling is great, just the powah. If the stock motor could take more than 7psi, I'd be sold.

I hate that other cars can boost up to 12psi+ on stock internals, makes me wanna throw a rock into their turbo.

with a tune 10 is safe... thats good for well over 200 whp.
 
Really? I thought 8 was that absolute limit and even then you're risking it.

untuned, true.

just swapping to a FMIC and dumping the suffocating stock cats will bump you up about 1 psi each... I've spiked up to about 8.5 once or twice even on stock exhaust, but normal is 7.5ish since I put in the FMIC.
 
Anyone know how much it might run me to PC the RHs? I was thinking $120ish. Also, do they fix any curb rash there may be or what?

the more work you do yourself, the cheaper it will be. sand em down and get all the factory coating off and it'll be a lot cheaper.
 
i paid $120 a wheel but they fixed the bends, curb rash, took the tires off and put them back on and balanced them
