Does it work with OSX Leopard?

How easy is the learning curve?

Would you do it again if you had the chance to get your money back?

PG has it for $245...seems like a steal, anyone seen it anywhere cheaper?

thanks!

Does not work on OSX. Its super easy to set up a dualboot on OSX though if you have an install of XP or other windows, you can even download Windows 7 Release Candidate for free off of Windows site and use it for a year.

A Dashhawk is probably the best purchase I have made for the car. Helps you find problems, can clear codes if you want to, and can even prevent problems from happening (like watching your KR).

Check Amazon's prices, it might be close to what PG has.

thanks for the quick reply. Ive seen lots of people ditching theirs for the COBB AP with ATR software...maybe theyre getting a bit ahead of me though. A couple more bolt ons and im through.

Yeah i guess i cud make a partition and run windows just for that...i just hate the MF.

thanks sport.

I've had mine for almost two years now. I love it for what it is- cheap and effective.

It doesn't support osx, which is a downfall- tough to emulate because of driver issues... but the program is small, simple and straightforward. I'd dual boot or put it on your work computer or something... there are options.

is there a list of safe parameters someone can link me to for when i get it as I will most likely be ordering one. Thanks

Not sure if you mean ones you should monitor or parameters that it supports, but either way heres the list of support parameters, there's a few more on there too like mazda specific ones. http://dashhawk.com/parameters.html

I monitor for my day to day driving:
Vacuum/Boost
Knock Retard
Fuel Pressure
LTFT
A/F Ratio

sorry for being vague...i meant safe parameters for our cars that you guys know of and use. thanks again sport!

Yeah those are probably the best to watch on a day to day basis. You can set warnings for certain things, like I have it set to flash a different color if Knock Retard is greater than .7 and one for boost if its greater than 17psi.

Some have ditched it for the ATR but I wouldn't because then you have to log with the AP(can log multiple things, but for day to day it can only show one parameter) or with a laptop, this way you only have a small device that can log and show multiple things. Even if I get the AP again I wouldn't ditch the Dashhawk.

And as for Windows, give the Win7 Release Candidate a try- free download, and it is everything Vista was supposed to deliver, and then some. Many of Apple's devs are actually running Win7 on separate machines now so they can keep tabs & make sure they're reaching far enough to keep their edge. They've never done that before, so that should tell you something.

And the DH is a wonderfully simple, compact & useful device. If I got an AP, I'd probably keep my DH, too.

Oh, just be sure you get the 32-bit Win7. DH software does not function in a 64-bit OS.
