the pack i saw at home depot seemed hardly "hard rubber"...it actually seemed kinda cheap and flimsy...like it wudnt hold its shape too well. Some of the pics above look damn good and the others look wavy. Any tips on the exact brand and also install pointers? Also how bad does it look where it ends closer to the wheels on both sides? Thanks for the help!

Yeah there is one wavy spot on the passenger side of my car... annoys me but not enough to do it again yet.

And its not hard rubber. It is a foamy rubber. It has give to it but it doesnt not lose its shape.

i used the grey super double sided 3m tape. i got 2 rolls...rolled it out on the bumper where i tried an extra piece of the "lip" to figure out where to put the tape...then ran the lip along the bumper. i put 4 screws....not needed but mine is super straight with the bumper. i put a screw on either end of the bumper to make sure it didnt ever peal back and one where the bumper raises up in the middle to hold it up into the bumper. came out perfectly straight and actually looks like it belongs. no waves, no peeling.

The best advice I can give you is raise teh front of the car up, jack or ramps if you can and take your time. Lining it up isnt hard but you will want to play with it before getting the tape ready so you know where it is going, especially in the center where there is a bit of a valley change under your grill. I bought double everything and there is a spot on mine I am not completely happy with but it hasnt bugged me enough to do it over yet.

I have two rolls of this stuff in my garage and they've been sitting there for a while b/c I can't figure out the best way to mouint it to our MS3's b/c of the scuff guard on the bottom of our bumpers

Yeah, that's it. Its a kinda thick foam material. Dark grey in color

You put the two way tape on the HD lip first. Then as you go along you peel off the sticky side to the car. You mount it in front of that scuff guard.

thanks homie, good enough! Any tips? also did u use the same brand pictured above?

Yeah it was the same as the one pictured.

Like someone else said, 2 rolls of the 3m double sided indoor/outdoor mounting tape. Others have used the automotive foam tape from 3m. Put the tape on the "lip" before you start and leave the bumper contact side film on.

I would go 10-12" at a time, line up where it goes, then peal the film off as your are holding it in position. Where the bumper goes up by about an inch in the front, make sure you don't stretch the lip over that part (go slow and small portion at a time) or the tape won't have enough strength to pull it up in the corner.

Tire shine gets it nice and black when you are all done.

did this last night. Took about 15 minutes. Rounded the edges so they dont just stick out by the wheels. Very easy to do and looks pretty good I think. Didnt think about tire shine so its just as it came.
