Omg, I was just about to post how the grey ms3 looked decent and how the smiley face will probably grow on me... but after this picture, that's all I'll be able to think about whenever I see a ms3 picture. ****, you ruined it for me.

Nope, the 2010 MS3 has given me no reasons to even consider buying it. I'm sure the looks may eventually grow on me (that's a big IF) but I find no fault with my current MS3 exterior and still quite like it. I definitely prefer my "old" interior to the new one. I'm sure the materials and quality might be better but I really don't like the dash design. One area of improvement is in the creature and convenience comforts but it's a silly reason to buy a new car just for those.

The biggest complaint I have about it is the front bumper. If someone were to come up with a nicer front bumper design, I think people would like this car a LOT more. There's no question that this car is MUCH more aggressive looking than the current MS3, other than the hood (and for a performance car that seems about right).

As far as the interior, I think that the quality has increased; however, I'm not a fan of the design. I think that these new seats are a HUGE step backwards from the current MS3 Grand Touring seats (the alcantra inserts are great). Also, I always switch out my stock radio with an aftermarket double-din touchscreen unit, and I don't think one of those would go well in the new MS3 at all (it would be slanted very far upwards, and I would image you'd lose the functionality of the screen above it....more-so than in the current MS3).

It's nice to see the improvements in quality (materials and fit/finish) though and things like keyless ignition. I decided that I didn't want to wait for this car (and pay a premium for it when it first comes out...all buggy and everything), and will be buying an 09 MS3 GT.

I definitely want to test drive one and see if the clutch takeup is improved, or if the ride is more to my liking. I'm pretty sure my MS3 will be the last hi-po FWD I buy, though. At least until Ford adapts a RevoKnuckle or something for North America.

Though the side profile of the new speed does look good. (probably because it looks more like the 2009 and belows that way..)

My '07 is my first and last FWD car. I'd definitely consider a MS RX-8...

Yeah i thought my mazda6 was going to be my last FWD car too... I will probably keep the MS3 for a long while, or atleast for 4-5more years. Either get a Gen Coupe or just pick up a RX8 to go along side of the speed.

I think the profile looks great! Very aggressive! Is that the stock ride height?! The 18's look small on this for some reason.

PS Again- anyone know if there is a definitive street-date/launch for the '10 Speed?

All that I have heard is to expect them around Fall. My guess would be around October like the 2007s

Whats funny is everyone hates the looks, just like everyone hated the new STi looks.

The new STI doesn't go around smiling like a retard.

Took the words right out of my mouth...

It's sad. I want to like the new ms3, but I just can't adjust to the new smile style Mazda's trying make fly. I guess progress is progress, but I still think it's a little ridiculous. Would take a lot of aftermarket cosmetic work to make it work for me.

grilles cannot be replaced. not even with aftermarket parts. you are also not allowed to paint or modify it yourself in any way.

everyone complained about the current gen's styling when it first came out too. Didn't have the smooth lines of the P5... awkward body lines/angles... honeycomb hideout grille... Then came the outpouring of praise from the press. In time, the styling grew on people and they sold like crazy. The same will hold true this time around as well. Hell, the car's not even out yet and already the front end styling is growing on me. I hated the bug-eyed and dragon-snout WRXs when they first came out too... then I began to tolerate and even like them. I already find myself doing the same thing for this car and I bet a lot of you will as well. Give it time.
