Opinions on powdercoated wheels.

I think the red looks good in the tirerack mock up!!

Just be different and do something unique!!
Black wheels with a red lip are OVERRATED AND OVERUSED!! imo

Red would be sweet

haha i know im just messin with you

and no sir, iv only seen black lips on denzel washington and fully black rims, never on a colored rim.

pics?

Red on red could be cool. But for me I have decided against powder coating my wheels mainly due to the cost which comes out to be almost enough for a new set of wheels after you figure in the mounting and dismounting of tires. Also I am not so sure how well it hold up compared to a factory finish. I have silver 18" rpf1's and I wanted gold but I am just going to live with the silver.

... i paid 10 a wheel for mounting. 10 a wheel for dismounting. 30 a wheel for powdercoating.

10 x 8 + 30 x 4 = $200.

show me where i can get a good rim for 50 dollars a piece. please.

I was hearing like $200 per wheel after sandblasting and all when I was looking at it. For $200 total I would consider it.

depends where you go, stay away frmo performance shops or custom wheels shops.

go to industrial powdercoating places that normally do big industrial jobs.

i found one in buffalo to do mine for 30 since it was a small job to them, sandblasting and everything, huge variety of colors too.

the wheel places will nail you since thats all they do.

its bad and only one wheel but it gives u an idea :)
i personally think it looks sick

I've done some reading on this subject lately and while you will find plenty of people who have had their wheels powdercoated you will also find plenty of people who advise against it.\

FYI my wheels are painted, not powdercoated.
