What have you done to your P5 today?

Finally got the sls catless midpipe installed on my g/f's p5. The resonator pipe was rusted so badly from a couple md winters that it had to be replaced in order for it to seal (thanks to evilmonkeymsp for the spare pipe). Car feels better and pulls a lot smoother in 5th on the highway, plus I am not getting the horrible rotten egg smell on the highway.


And don't worry magnum I know where you are coming from. Used to own a fairly modded msp and now daily drive the g/f's mildy modded p5, even though my rx7 is slightly faster than the na p5 its a lot more fun to drive than my msp was. Between the rwd, the scream of the rotary and the handling its well worth it. If you do stick with the na rx7 make sure you get a lsd, exhaust, and refresh the suspension.
 
I replaced my windshield. It's nice, like the day I bought it..
 
got my car inspected and passed, gotta love the non-fouler trick :) found out i need knew rotors though and my front motor mount is weak, :(

hey why is this? my mom's maxima does it after WOT, and i though it was some paper bag stuck on her exhaust, but that was 2 years ago...

Its from the cat doing it job. Whenever you run wot it it may have dumped enough fuel and had some left over that the cat had to take care of. Its usually a sign that the cat is going or already dead.
 
I'm going to check out my brakes today but ever since I installed my new rotors a couple years ago, I always had a sort of metal grinding noise coming from all the wheels. When I apply the brakes it gets louder. Lately, I've been hearing a noise that sounds like the rotor is kind of wobbling and touching the brake pad a bit every revolution. Now I don't know if they're warped or if maybe my calipers are not properly greased so they're sticking or what the deal is, but the noise is really annoying and is just one of those things that keeps nagging you. Anyone have any insight on this?
 
First make sure the dust guards behind the rotors aren't just bent and squeeling against the rotors. In other cars I have had issues with cerametallic pads that constantly squeeled to the point of swapping in cheaper generic pads and the noise was gone. Another thing is maybe the spring clips that hold the pads in place are damaged or missing if you had them done somewhere.
 
put in a header, finished color sanding my hood, painted my valve cover, strut bar, and got my windows tinted

not all in one day, just havent updated in a while lol

hey i need some insight, im looking at a lip, should i get the dg or the stock msp? anyone with pics of either, can u post them please?
 
yea thats the way i was leaning because i like having fog lights....but i dont want to scrape on everything either

ill try it i guess, if i dont like it ill sell it and get the other one lol
 
Even if you scrape the DG, you won't hurt it. I ran mine over and it's still in good shape. Damien is buying it once I get home to get it out of my parents' garage.
