What have you done to your MSP today?

took the boost controller of tonight and just got back from a ride, steady 9.5psi and the clutch is not slipping woot woot.

but when i put it on and im at 13-14psi it slips :(

I thought the exedy stage1 was rated at like 280tq, i know im no where near that, but i get to find out tom. cause ill be putting the car on the dyno.
 
i found out today that the oil feed line for my turbo is leaking badly. it is dripping on the downpipe and smokeing really badly. its embaressing.
 
Need alittle help. I have trouble shifting into 2nd. Its like i got to force it in(no girnding tho). It also happens a little when i shift into 1st. But the rest are fine. I was thinking i could be the motor mounts. Any suggestions?

I would inspect your side and trans mount. I had the same issue with 1st and reverse tell I put in either my damper or medieval side mount.

I got the same insert setup as you(f/r/sides). So im not the only one with this issue.

Im thinking about getting the damper thing that StealthWyvern got. That might help. Its really annoying when driving in traffic.


FYI, I am currently looking around to see if i can get someone local to make me brackets to offer the dampers at a much cheaper price then the weap-r one.

i think its one of the quirks of these transmissions. kinda like how it refuses to go into reverse sometimes.

put it in first and nudge it a little and then put it in reverse. Always works on the first try that way for me.

I think thats just a bad o-ring but not 100% sure just going by what I understand. Its a common leakage issue on these cars. Mine even does it but not as bad as yours.

^^How bad is the vibration with the Medieval mm. Is it as bad as the awr or su? You dont even notice the vibration with the inserts.

I can only compare it to the SU mounts and AWR mounts on my old auto p5 honestly. I have had a full set of SU mounts in the p5 and vibrations were a hell of a lot worse then they are now even with the SU front, side, and trans in with a stock mount. The vibrations are actually pretty calm compared to the others. I do get a lot of noise on on take off and de-acceration but you get that from any solid mounts. I can not compare full set of medieval to a full set of anything because I have yet to have a full get of medieval mounts but the vibrations are pretty damn calm to make me want to get the rest of the medieval mounts. I still might go stock rear to ditch that noise you get from the solid mounts. The rear mounts transfer the most vibrations and noise into the cabin.

I also only want to install my damper to help reduce the noise levels from the solid mounts on take off and deacceration. The vibrations arnt bad enough for me and the gf doesnt mind the little vibrations that I do get.


Edit: I will be getting a Med front mm here within the next 2-3weeks and I'll give you an update on if changing out the from awr for a medieval mount made any difference. Honestly I do not expect much but I do want to get all the mounts the same brand and the same duro.

got the new tires put on Saturday.

Today I put in new rear pads today and change the oil...yay for stopping and stuff

took a bunch of pics to update the brake how to thread
 
may have reassembled something just a bit off, and with vibes it either cracked or.. pinched or who knows... the "its and MSP" response also works... lol
 
if anything goes wrong just chalk it up to the car being an MSP works everytime... and if something isnt wrong now... wait 5 minutes, it's like the weather here.
 
hopefully going to install my new stereo equipment tomorrow with my dad. should be a fun time. i expect hear much cursing.
 
took of the steelies 2day and went into summer mode with my black powdercoated racing harts w matching centercaps

gave the msp the first good wash its seen in a long time
next weekend its getting the finishing touches (jams, engine compartment, etc)
