Guys and Gals,

I would like to start a thread here for everyone to state what they like and dislike about the 2010 Mazda M3 GT (Exclude the grill, since we all know about that already).

1. Does anyone own or have own another year of Mazda M3 GT and they either sold it or traded it in for the new 2010 M3 GT? If so, can you please tell me what car you like better and why (either test driving it or actually owning one).

Thanks in advance.

Do you mean M3 GT? The new Mazdaspeed isn't out yet.

I'm also interested in hearing how owners of the 2004-2009 think the 2010 compares to their car.

Yes, sorry, I made the correction. I totally don't want to put the wrong car. Thanks for pointing that out to me. All these model types. Geez!!!

I wanted the comparison for the Mazda3 GT Sedan from any other year and the 2010 , (I.E. 2007 Vs. 2010), (2006 Vs. 2010), etc.

I test drove the 2010 MZ3 GT and I have to say that it was pretty comfortable. Compared to my '06, the seats are more bucketed to hold you in place, there's all these cool little things that I would have put into my '06 like ambient glow in the cabin and stuff. The entire dashboard is different and it wasn't until the end of the test drive that I was even getting close to understanding what did what, but I think that's just a matter of getting used to it. I did notice that the 2010 was much much quieter on the highway than mine, which I really appreciated.

In terms of the exterior, I would actually be torn between getting a GT or not, just because I don't know about the double-arrow nagare-styled light thingies next to the headlamps. I still can't figure those out. If you don't get the GT, it comes with separate headlamps for high and low beams, which means that there would be the possibility of getting some Daylight Demon Eyes put on in the future, and I think that could look pretty awesome.

The last thing I really noticed was the shifter. I felt like the shifting was a little vague just because I feel like the shift gates are too close together horizontally, or maybe I'm just not used to that either. But what was cool was seeing 2.5k rpm @ 70mph in 6th gear. That's gotta help the mpg on this car, and I do a lot of highway miles.

All in all, besides the grille, which everyone knows, but is starting to grow on me, I think it's a great car, and am actually contemplating trading mine in in like a year or so. (I am still not done driving mine yet)

As you said, the sport model has two bulbs; the GT model has one bulb in each headlight. The arrow thing seems to be to help focus the light. IMO, it makes the light look sportier than having the two bulbs w/the sport model.

Thanks for the write up. I think the 2010 is being very popular and more favorable, so far what I have been reading and hearing from the streets.

I noticed that the engine noises are so much more quiter now. The road and wind noise also has been reduced by 50%. I really like this car and will get one very soon here.
