What have you done to your P5 today?

So...I have a guy coming over today to help me sort the timing problem...maybe it will run tonight...

Yay!! that thing needs to get back up and running lol.

On another note, does anyone know if I can use a transmission oil cooler like a hayden one as an engine oil cooler? I was planning on buying two of the same one and using one for the engine oil and one for the transmission cooler.

Sweet, came out to find a nice scratch down the rear driver's side door. Stupid skateboarders went down the side of the building this AM

Sux, that's like "What others have done to my car today" which is always a sad thread.
IMHO it doesn't worth investing time & effort for a daily driver when it's soo easy to be fcuked up by others.

that sucks.....i like driving mine....but i'm still getting used to the new sounds and vibes from the new mounts
I love driving mine - I'm just trying to keep it reasonably clean for the big Midwest Mazda Fest this weekend. I got it all detailed up two weeks ago and the weather has just been nasty since.

Don't see why not. Then again, I could be sorely mistaken. Why not call the vendor and / or manufacturer and find out for certain?

I have seen engine oil coolers used on auto trannies. Only thing is thinking that auto tranny fluid is very thin so it may be designed with smaller passages that hot sludgy oil from the turbo return wouldn't flow so well??

yeah, that's pretty much the only hiccup I could forsee, hence my disclaimer

So...we double checked the timing on the motor and it is all good...all plugs from the engine harness are plugged back in...spark plugs are firing...getting fuel...turns over, but does not start...oil is full of coolant...

that sucks.....head gasket??

That is what we are thinking as well...could a headgasket cause it to not even start up...they are thinking the ammount of coolant in the head is watering down the gas to much...

not enough compression maybe? If it's bad enough. Fouled plugs are also a possibility...then again so are steam cleaned plugs. Depends on if oil or water (or both) is getting into the combustion chamber

And it is...ahhh...I am so Fing pissed right now...so...I would assume that with a blown headgasket, the person that sold me this motor would of had to known that this was a problem...since it was sold as "running great"...
