S. Florida Pro-Tunning Inquirey...

hey dick head your the one who always calls me for help and guidance, do me a favor go jump in front of a bus.(cool)

I call and ask you about brake pads I've never used before. Cause my brake pedal wuz mushy and I wanted to know if yours was too, to help me decide if I should bleed my brake lines or not. It has nothing to do with basic math. (friday)

and uh... I was the first one to point out the AP issue. So much for all your "zomg no0b go do research" posts (homework)..... ass

fine lets chat... no. 1 the plate is open 85% at WOT and 15% and idle not 0% and 70% no. 2 all we lack for our cars is the support from the aftermarket companies. no. 3 do u even know what a standalone is? that is pretty much an entirerly new computer... not a flashing software and no. 4 as far as the "control of the throttle plate" goes did you not read my last post? cobb has done it the pro-tunner can adjust it and im pretty sure the street tuner will as well... so what exactly are you trying to say here? that i was wrong in my arguement? ya i was i admitted that. as far as you go i pretty much think that you mostly just repeat what you read or hear rather than accually try to learn something. that would also be the difference
between you and me.

uh.... according to you, and the posts on mazda6 club. 15% is supposed to be interpreted as 0%.

So are you now saying when the Dashhawk displays 15% that the TBs are indeed open 15%? Is 15% the open spread for our cars at idle? If so, then that makes sense.... but all that psycho babble of "take 85% and add 15% and you have 100%" didn't make any damn sense (from what I've read on the forum).

Uh yes, if you bother to re-read my post, I said what a standalone was. And CP-E has apparently also done the "full control" of the TP with their FullControl unit.... Only time will tell if the street tuner allows one to control the TP beyond the software's 85% limit.... don't forget that your email said they kept the TBs at 85% for safety. They may leave it at that for safety so an end-user doesn't damage their car, and try to blame it on the AP. (There are plenty of assholes like that out there).

I agree that our cars lack aftermarket support.... but with the speed3 they're seeing a lot more... just not enough (even for speed3s).

I don't repeat what I read or hear... I actually DO research... like the fact I stated I don't recall anything about the AP opening the TP 100%. Or the part with everyone's ****** up math taking about 15% to 85% = 100%... WOW.

Another question, as far as research goes..... 5 to 6 months for the street tuner... your email from COBB said something about within the next few days? Are they going to be giving an update about the street tuner?

(screwy)i never called anyone a noob and i did research i found this out from cobb. oh and that post was a bit harsh so i deleted it but your still a dumb ass.

The "zomg noob" was just an exaggeration.... But now you're really confusing me.... you found out from COBB that the TP is open 100% at WOT, but they wrote you an email saying it's 85%? (bang) I'm not even going to bother.

the next few days they will have an "UPDATE" not a release there is a difference and read the fukin thread i posted a link to asshole. you are always a fukin downer on here and are always picking out stupid little s*** someone said. i'm done argueing on here if you wanna continue this you have my number AND know where i live!

You're truly an idiot.... if you open your eyes, pull your head out of your ass, and learn basic grammar, you will see that I ASKED you if they're going to be giving an update. Not a release. Thanks for pointing out you're an asshole that can't carry on an intelligent, calm conversation.

And actually I don't know where you live... good job on that too numb nuts (loser)

I think you've just got some sand in your vagina because I'm not the only one who was 2nd guessing jumping in the bandwagon for this.... you contradict yourself too much. First you state, in your OP, it would be worth it for you alone for the PRO tuner... then another post says it's not worth it. Then there was all the mixed up math BS, then you said COBB's website states the TP is fully open, then you get an email it's not. There's too many "what ifs" in those variables.(boom07)

I'll just end up waiting to see how much the street tuner costs, and decide between that and the standback and just take it to my buddy Jack for a tune (who's also the only person that I would trust with MY car, same as you trust your buddy for yours).

COBB Tuning has reconsidered its position on AccessTUNER Race for the MAZDASPEED3/6 platform. Response to the announcement of AccessTUNER Race availability for September 2009 was so extreme and customer confidence in their ability to self-tune is so high that COBB Tuning has changed its strategy regarding the MAZDASPEED market.

AccessTUNER Race for the MAZDASPEED3/6 will be available on April 20th, 2009. This will be the first non-beta release of AccessTUNER Race. The software will be available on our website in the MAZDASPEED3 and MAZDASPEED6 Power section for purchase at $195 per license. This pricing is commensurate with development time, development effort and total size of the MAZDASPEED3/6 market .

AccessTUNER Race software will be locked to a single AccessPORT. The online ordering process will require the serial number of the AccessPORT be captured. Starting on April 20th, software delivery will be fulfilled within 24 hours of order placement.

There will be no telephone or email support for AccessTUNER Race. COBB Tuning has provided a dedicated forum for the Mazda community to discuss issues and tuning strategies HERE. An in-depth AccessTUNER Race Tuning Guide for the MAZDASPEED3/6 will be available for download, at no additional charge, on April 20th.

With the release of AccessTUNER Race, COBB Tuning considers development of the AccessPORT suite of ECU tuning products for the MAZDASPEED3/6 to be complete. AccessTUNER Race and AccessPORT bugs/issues will be addressed in subsequent software and firmware releases, however, no new features are planned to be implemented for this platform.

AccessPORT customers that do not wish to attempt self-tuning will still have the options of procuring e-tuning or dyno-tuning services from a Pro Tuner using AccessTUNER Pro software (including COBB tuning facilities in Salt Lake City UT, Plano TX and Portland OR). Consult with your favorite tuner regarding your interest in having a custom tune performed for your AccessPORT equipped MAZDASPEED3 or MAZDASPEED6.

MAZDASPEED enthusiasts have clearly communicated that the knowledge, experience and expertise to tune the MAZDASPEED3/6 platform resides within the community. On April 20th, 2009, the final tools will be made available and thus empower community members to attain their tuning goals.

Thank you, good luck and happy tuning!

Regards,

Gary Sheehan

damn i was right all along!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dave,

I was corrected by my tuner Christian, we did actually hold the throttle
plate open to redline on our latest calibrations as the community
demanded it.

Let me know if you need anything else.

Sorry for the initial mixup on my part.

Take care,

Scott
