S. Florida Pro-Tunning Inquirey...

you are asll dumbasses except for james b/c he aint around enough... now for all you ass **** and especially 240ka... at idle it would read 0% but well al know the throttle has to be open a little bit...l (15%) so from 0%-85% plus the 15% for idle is 100% i thought you guys would have enough brain power to see this but i guess not oh ya and koenig the s2000, sti, 350z, pretty much all these cars except the evo have electronic throttle bodies and all have similar issues. why the **** would someone release a "flashing" software unless it worked on ALL aspects of the car

in any event 240ka & koenig = OWNED.

i'm done argueing with you guys do some research.

listen GUY.

if the AP had full TP control there would be a thread about it.

second, all i want to see are results. get your car tuned and post the results, other than that we are wasting time

no one is picking what you say apart.

there may be a select few of you who say the AP controls the TP.

but the majority of people on this board would most likely say they never knew or heard anything abou tthat.

who cares if he doesnt know how to change brakes, neither do i. but you are the one now getting childish.

i havent heard anything abou tthe AP having full control over the TP.

either way, get your car tuned, post some results to get impressions from other members here and if all is well then ill buy the tune

AP owners still say their cars hit that 5800k-6k wall.

which means the TP is closing

the question isnt how much the AP allow the TP to open over stock.

this is about whether the AP allows you to control the TP with the gas pedal.

if the TP is still closing as it reaches 5800k with the AP. then the AP doesnt allow 100% control thus the TP isnt staying open at WOT

Um first... I have several friends with STIs, 350Zs and one with an S2000.... NONE of them have issues with their throttle plate....... You miss the point that the ECU controls the throttle plate in electronic throttle plates, and OUR ECU is tricky as ****, where as the other cars.... not so much.

2nd.... are you paying attention to what you say? you just said even at idle a throttle plate should be open... so you CANNOT use 0%

0% would mean the throttle plate is ENTIRELY closed... the dash hawk does not display 0%... it displays 15%... how the hell do you go from 0% to 85% = 100% ? The dashhawk displays at 15% to 85%. if you're saying that the 15% is 0%, then the DASHHAWK shows the throttle from being 15% open to 85% open.... that means it's going from 0% open to 70% open.... I would think anyone else would have enough brain power to realize this.

[edit]
and for the record, I wasn't trying to "own" anybody. I was asking how the hell are people getting 15% to 85% = 100% open throttle plate?

listen you are missing the point of this thread... it was to see if ppl were interedsted this software is very pricey i am not going to dish out the money if noone would be interested just do me a favor and go to cobbs website or search some forums... i have the AP installed and i am telling you it keeps the throttle open. you guys need to understand that this isnt rocket science. its not like this issue hasnt risen in other cars and been solved. ppl say that DI is new tech but VW has been doing it for years. i would do some logs for you guys but my car is in peicesa at my house but if you dont wanna research the topic then maybe i will post some down the line

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gasoline_Direct_Injection

other's have been doing it before VW, because I'm familiar with Renault having it.

however it's the Direct Injection Spark Ignited engine (DISI) technology that's new..... You'll notice that article was written May 2008.

Dude, since you are so stuck on thinking the TP is 100% open at
WOT why are you hitting that same wall between 5800k-6k like our stock tunes?

Yeah um.... like I said 70%.... since 15% is 0% and it ranges from 15% to 85% that's 0% to 70%

The reason our ECU is tricky is because people haven't FULLY cracked it yet? I thought you were such an expert on talking about research? do you see any "stand alone" units for our cars yet? I've seen them for 350Zs, STIs, etc, as well as "piggy backs"... which is all we have right now for our cars. Since our TPs are electronic controlled and not mechanical someone would have to make sure their stand alone could control ours properly, etc. Why do you think there was one guy on this forum that had pretty much EVERYTHING on this car.... but couldn't get it tuned properly, and was considering selling it, while some people were telling him to wait and see if a stand alone comes out?
