How does it compare to the speed?

you dont say! haha. is that a chevy steering wheel in your toyota?

thats was the last peice I ended up putting on later. The airbag cover with the toyota emblem on it. Put it on and then ended up selling the car later. Otherwise, all of the chevy stuff was converted over :)

How does it compare to the speed?[/QUOTE]

The speed handles a lot better and interior is nicer.

I think the SRT-4 is a straight line car, however if you do a lot of suspension work it does pretty good at time attack events.

I also love the tranny on the SRT, very positive shifts, never hitting gates between shifts. But, it only had 5 speeds, it needed a 6th gear.

The stock tranny on the SRT I think could handle somewhere around 500 horses to the wheels.

But, overall driving, quality, styling and being a much faster car from the factory The Mazdaspeed 3 dominates hands down.

I think if you dumped the same amount of money into both cars, you would have a much faster and stronger car with the mazda than you would with the dodge. (And I'm not just saying that because I own a Mazda)

Very Diverse crowd all coming to a crossroads here, Although I did expect more muscle than I saw. I personally came from the Sleeper family. I had the SVT contour and before that I had an mtx SHO.

Lots of nice cars in this thread.

man, that is one sweet FSJ...

some VERY COOOL CARS on this thread...

i've owned a '69 jeepster commando halfcab... my first hand-me-down from dad... we put a 400cid chev and 4spd in it...

my second was mom's '70 SS nova 4-spd... did a mild restore and drove that while in my first year or two of college... that was a great car..

also ended up with dads '83 FSJ cherokee laredo, the last year of the full size 2-door model....it had 260,000 on it. i rebuilt the engine, tranny... then sold it ... had 352,000 on it, and ran great... what a great tow vehicle that thing was...

i've also owned a few corollas that are still being driven into the ground...

my first new car was my xterra that i bought in late 2000 (V6, 4WD, 5speed, wicked sound system)... and what a great car... all i did was change the oil... and i really punished it... it hauled everything, everywhere (including the new baby home)... i wasn't going to trade it in, but they offered me so much for it i couldn't see keeping it... i try not to think about it...

here are a few photos through the life of 'traveler' (what we called it), and i think one of a photo of a photo of my old nova... i'll do my best to dig up some cherokee and commando photos, maybe eve a few luv ones.... (didn't have a digital camera back then)...

that first one is the last time we went to the coast together... sigh...

that actually looks very clean :) I like the wings west style wing (i believe thats a wings west wing) man everyone had wings west wings back in the day :) The wheels looks like the ones youd see on the sl500 mercedes. Props for those too(thumbup)

Yeah it's an OEM wing (WW sold it as well, but cheaper from dealer), and wings west 4-piece urethane kit. Lowered 1.8" w/ Intrax coils, 17" Enkei "Shoguns", and an HKS dragger exhaust (muffler only).

All show no go. :P I wish I had pics of my PREVIOUS Tiburon that was PURE rice. It had vinyl ALLLL over it, I'm talking extreme!
